Hello and welcome to Connect Maths Tutor. I am Viviane D. and a qualified Secondary Maths teacher of 14 years. I have considerable experience in supporting students across KS3 and preparing students to sit KS4 Maths GCSE 9-1 specification Higher/foundation.
Having acquired substantial experience of working with a significant range of students and abilities, I understand fully the barriers to learning in Maths. I can therefore advise on areas where common misconceptions occur, showing alternative methods to answer popular topics and advise on exam techniques.
I now tutor one to one with students in order that I can make a real difference to their confidence and performance in Maths. At times this can be difficult to achieve in a classroom environment. My tutoring style is both structured, relaxed and supportive. I will establish early on a student's individual proficiency so that they are educated at an adapted and bespoke level.
I offer online tuition or group tuition at a reduced rate for similar ability students. I also hold a current enhanced DBS certificate. I currently have a few available slots to start immediately. Alternatively bookings can be made for September 2023. Please email me or call me if you would like a chat about your requirements.

I am a British PhD with degrees from the universities of London, Jerusalem, and Cambridge. Author of 'Israel and the Cold War: Diplomacy, Strategy, and the Policy of the Periphery at the United Nations' (I. B. Tauris/Palgrave Macmillan, 2013), I have written for several academic journals and newspapers and reviewed for the Royal Institute of International Affairs, Chatham House. I was the first recipient of the Mikardo scholarship awarded by the British Foreign Office, and, whilst at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, I was awarded a Golda Meir Fellowship. Whilst at Cambridge, I won a Donner prize in Atlantic Studies. In addition to the subjects listed below, I tutor in International Relations and Middle Eastern Studies, and I'm happy to consider all enquiries within my general areas of interest and experience. I am also available for dissertation consultation, proofreading, and help in exam and essay writing.
A former Teaching Fellow at King's College London, I have taught MA courses on the Arab-Israeli conflict, US and British Foreign Policy, War and Peace in the Middle East, and Inter-Faith Relations. A fluent Hebrew speaker, I was Peer Tutor in Hebrew at University College London, where I was awarded the departmental prize for excellence in the Hebrew language. I have tutored privately abroad, as well as in Britain, and have an immensely successful record with my tutees. In addition to online tuition throughout the academic year, I also offer intensive tuition during school and university holidays, which both tutees and parents find particularly useful for preparation, consolidation of knowledge and, if need be, to get a tutee back on track. For peace of mind, I have an enhanced DBS check, and am subscribed to the annual update service.
Tuition Approach.
Patient, understanding, relaxed, interactive, theme-based, and multi-disciplinary. Use of past papers, analysis, deconstruction of exam and essay questions, concepts, and requirements, development of essay and exam structure. I pay particular attention to a student's self-confidence and self-expression, which often serve as catalysts for enhanced self-belief and success.

I am a Bioanalytical Scientist with a Bachelor's degree in Human and Medical science and therefore have a very good understanding of Biology and Chemistry. Furthermore I have 6 months experience as a substitute teacher and a year's experience as a TEFL teacher. I have always enjoyed Sciences, English and Urdu language and feel they have always been my greatest academic skills. Due to my passion for the subjects and great understanding, I have been able to make them simpler and easier to understand for all my fellow peers ans siblings in the past. I hope to bring these skills and passion in use with my students as well. I am happy to help children of all levels from KS1 to A-levels who are struggling or need extra motivation. I am happy to modify the class as per student needs. Depending on student specification and weak topics I can plan lessons to suit individual style of learning by either providing extra supprt and material or by going over the topic again to make it simpler and easier to understand. Through my experience in labs I will use real life examples and videos, wherever possible to help my students with their curriculum. I can teach KS1 - A-levels for science and Urdu and will provide one to one support to each student to ensure a good experience and learning I am happy to provide tuition online or from my home. My name is Ahmed and I enjoy teaching. This is why I've chosen this profession which allows me to deal with people from different backgrounds, understand their needs and take a challenge of helping them. The most important thing for me is seeing my student's satisfaction and I feel honoured when my students leave the session with positive learning.
I'm patient (as this is one of the important tools in order to be a successful teacher), friendly, and make sure to keep a rapport among my students. I feel it is important as a teacher to make your student believe that you are his/her mentor as a tutor/teacher and you are there to help them to get the best out of their personality.
Currently, I am working as a head of department in one of the Grammar Schools.

Leighton Buzzard, England
As a Head of the Languages Department and Primary and Secondary Teacher in a school in Leighton Buzzard for over 10 years, I believe I am the right language tutor for you!
I'm fluent in Spanish, ( my native language) French, and English and have spent many years teaching and studying languages. I completed a bachelor's degree in Spanish and English at Manchester/ALmeria University (2008) and studied Spanish and English Literature in school (GCSE and A-Level) so I know how daunting grammar can sometimes feel and how stressful language/literature exams can be... but also how great it feels when you finally start getting it!
On the language side of things, I can help you with your writing, listening, speaking, grammar, and exam technique. I can help you with conversational skills if you're just looking to go traveling or make Spanish/French friends.
On the literature side of things, a large part of my degree was literature-based, so I would be very happy to help any Literature students if you are struggling with the subject.
If you're in school and really want to get an A/A* (7/8/9), I can make sure you achieve your goal. Whatever your current grade, an A/ A*/7/8/9 is achievable. I have taught these exams for many years so I know how they work and how you can do well in them. We will work closely with the syllabus and go through some secrets of exam technique to make sure you get a top grade.
Alternatively, if you're wanting to learn languages for travel or business purposes (or just for fun!) we can tailor the lessons 100% to suit your needs. I also teach courses to adults from beginners to advanced and I always tailored to each student's need. I also teach English to foreigners to achieve the Cambridge Examinations ( A1 to C1).
I effectively deliver and plan online outstanding lessons and the feedback that I have received from parents, pupils, and adult learners have always been very stimulating. I strongly believe in the student centered-approach as always shown in my lesson plans. I believe that all students are individuals with very specific needs so differentiation has always been at the forefront of my teaching practice. I find it very important to address any students’ needs in order to get the best potential out of every single student. I am successful in establishing high expectations of behavior in the classroom whilst still developing positive relationships with my classes.
I love online teaching as well as face to face. I have been doing online experience for the last 5 years and I have helped most of my students to achieve an excellent language level. I use Google Meets, Google Classroom, or even Skype for online teaching. I generally send and post great, fun, and genuine resources so that the student can access them easily and successfully. There are so many fun online resources that I could provide you to enhance your language skills, especially in Speaking; what a great way to speak the language with a native speaker! You will also gain a broad cultural awareness and your fluency and pronunciation will speed up!
Contact me and ask what it is that you need and I will make sure you will get the best of your language skills!
On the other hand, I am a 200hr yoga certified instructor for the last 2 years and I can give you online 1-1 lessons from beginners to more advanced practitioners. I can also give the online yoga class via zoom to you and your whole family! If you have children, you will be glad to know that I have trained to teach kids yoga and I have been organizing yoga workshops in primary and secondary schools.

Preoven fact, children listen bettter and pay greater attention to 'outsiders' than to their own parents/siblings.

3. Engaging and Interactive Sessions: I employ a variety of teaching methods to keep the learning experience engaging, interactive, and enjoyable for your child. This creates a positive and supportive learning environment where they can thrive.
4. Tracking Progress: I believe in tracking and discussing your child's progress regularly, ensuring that they are continually improving and gaining a deeper understanding of the subject matter.
5. Building Confidence and Motivation: I am dedicated to nurturing your child's self-confidence and motivation, instilling a love for learning that extends beyond the classroom.
6. Flexible and Convenient Scheduling: I understand the demands of your family's schedule and am committed to providing flexible tutoring sessions that accommodate your needs.
7. Strong Communication: I maintain open, honest, and supportive communication with both you and your child, ensuring that you are always informed about your child's progress and any areas of improvement.
8. Holistic Approach: I believe in a holistic approach to education, encouraging your child to see the interconnectedness of various subjects and how they relate to their daily lives.
9. Positive and Supportive Environment: Your child will thrive in a positive, nurturing environment where they feel encouraged to ask questions, share their thoughts, and take risks in their learning journey.

I have ten years classroom experience with consistently good results. I am also an Expert Examiner with a national exam board which has given me the ability to 'read between the lines' to work out what the specifications are really asking for.
After an initial conversation about timescales and attainment, a diagnostic approach will be taken to determine if the learning need is functional (for example, written English skills) or technical (such as exam skills). From here a personalised curriculum will be designed with milestones indicated so all stakeholders can measure progress.
Sessions will typically last no more than 60 minutes with planned activities that build towards a task to be completed independently between sessions. Time will always be given within the sessions for the tutee to reflect on progress and any emerging learning needs.
