I studied classical vocal technique for 15 years with Howard Milner, and supplemented this with private language training (French and Russian), repertoire coaching with Floral Opera, Summer International Summer Music school (four years) and further training with Jeffrey Talbot and Neil Howlett. I worked as Area Leader for Sing Up in Lincolnshire and am currently the visiting singing teacher for a large secondary academy in Nottingham as well as being a vocal tutor at University of Lincoln. I have performed in professional opera companies in the UK, and performed recitals and gala concerts throughout the UK and in Northern Italy. I teach classical styles, as well as music theatre, jazz, folk, pop/rock.

I have been teaching since 2006 across Yorkshire and Staffordshire, to a variety of age groups and abilities and in a variety of settings; from community groups to sixth-form colleges. Now I have returned to my roots in Doncaster, where I began performing at the age of 7 years and founded DN4 Dance & Theatre in 2019. In addition to a BA Hons in Dance and PGCE (PCET), I have a background in Ballet, Jazz, Tap and Musical Theatre and is a registered teacher with BBOdance (British Ballet Organisation). When I'm not teaching, I work closely with local Theatre groups and on a professional basis, acting, singing and providing choreography for events/productions. Over my experience in working in FE, I have successfully supported many of my students in their application process to Higher Education and Drama school; selecting and rehearsing monologues for audition and preparing UCAS application. Some of my former students are currently studying at ALRA and UCLAN and I have also successfully helped students gain entry to Anglia Ruskin in Cambridge.
While my recent formal experience has been with FE students and above, I have taught students from the age of 5 through to university level on a wide range of topics. Areas of study include; Physical Theatre (from Dance-based to Commedia dell'Arte), Shakespeare, Contemporary Theatre, Prose.
A general lesson will include a short warm-up (either skills or focus based) prior to the main content; breaking down a script/choreography, rehearsal, feedback and discussion based on learning taken place and next steps. I completed my secondary science PGCE in 2015. I am a Biology specialist, however, I have good subject knowledge and experience of teaching in all three sciences. I am also highly adaptable. Daphne was born in Hong Kong. She started to learn piano at age of five. And she gained the Diploma of ABRSM in piano perform and piano accompaniment in early years, she holds Licentiate of the Trinity College of Music London (ATCL) in piano performance, she also gets singing grade eight of the ABRSM, She is studying in the Bachelor of Music at Kingston University in Hong Kong University , and she gets Professional Diploma in Chinese University, Diploma Program in Performance Practice .
She went to Poland to further her study. She spent years visiting masterclasses and sit in lessons in different academies. In year 2000, She performed with Allegro Singers in Salzburg.
Years before she was attracted by Prof. Stephen Wong's was attracted by his flawless piano technique , and beautiful melodies she decided to study from him as a life~long teacher.
