I studied for degrees in Mathematics at Keele University and Oxford University and have over 35 years teaching experience in Private Schools, Grammar Schools and Colleges.
I am also a tutor for Oxford Home Schooling and for The Open University, and am an approved tutor for tutorsandexams.
I have had articles published in "Mathematics in Schools" and several worksheets on teachitmaths.
I have provided private tuition also for over 35 years now, and have had literally hundreds of successful students credited to my record over that time.
I provide a very professional service and tutor not only those at school, but also to adults.
I pride myself in providing first class tuition through my years of experience and excellent subject knowledge. Having set many exams over the years I teach students precisely how to answer exam questions to maximise their marks.
I cater for all levels and all ages: Basic Maths, Grammar School Entrance Exams, 11+, 13+, SATs, GCSE, AS/A Level, Further Maths, etc.

I first worked for the EARN association located in Paris as a programmer. Then I became the head of an internet service provider doing all the necessary work to keep it going. Programming, managing, etc. I managed databases, web sites, etc. I still do in fact!

Producing your answers in French can be daunting, especially when doing so under exam conditions. I am here to help. Together, we will practise your answers, make sure they are the best they can be and work on your fluency, pronunciation and interaction with the examiner. We will make sure you understand how to use tenses and how to get these extra marks in your writing paper.
I taught English as a second language at a French University for 10 years, have been teaching to kids and adults online for 11 years. I had a school where I taught English to 3-16 year olds in small groups during term time and I also organised holiday workshops based on trips to English speaking countries. I also did this for 10 years. I've taught in many companies such as CERN in Geneva, STAUBLI, PREVOST and Pfeiffer in France, McDonalds and local MPs in Reunion www.*** lived in France for 34 years so have recently started teaching French to English students. I always adapt to my pupil's needs, when working in groups, suggestopedia is my preffered way of teaching. I'm available on Skype, WhatsApp and Teams. I always do my best to make learning fun!

I started learning guitar when I was 21. I am 39 as I write this. I gradually started to write my own songs. I have travelled around the world busked. My music has taken me to some very interesting places. I want to help others bring music to their lives.

I'm currently working as the Head of Humanities at The Bourne Academy and have been teaching Edexcel and WJEC History for over 10 years locally. My passion for History drives much of who I am and consider myself a good communicator, highly motivational and proficient with one to one intervention. When I'm not teaching I love to run outdoors on hills, travel and spend time with my chocolate labrador.
