I have been a science teacher for the past 6/7 years in Staffordshire. Last year my classes achieved an average of two grades above their GCSE target grades. The school I am currently teaching at in Staffordshire is ranked 4th in the county in terms of progress 8.
I am a well qualified graduate achieving an upper second class degree in biology at the university of Liverpool. I have been tutoring both biology and chemistry for the past two years on tutorhunt. During this time, I have helped multiple students achieve excellent grades in science.
I am available most days during the week and would be flexible if needed to change time. I am willing to travel around 15 miles from my house address. Please feel free to ask me any questions.

I am an effective and highly qualified teacher with Hons, Masters and PhD. I also hold a CMI Exec Dip in Management and like to keep up to date with regular CPD. i have been teaching online since 2007, and more traditional setting since 1995. I ensure that students reach their potential and can establish a rapport quickly. I am a published author with Nelson Thornes and Hodder Education and love passing on writing craft to those who would benefit. I did not enter teaching through the traditional pathway and left school without any qualifications at the age of 15, having been placed in the lowest ability stream at secondary school. After some years in Industry, the Army and Security, i decided to education myself.

Hi, I'm Marina. I'm a qualified, passionate and experienced MFL Teacher.
As foreign languages, and especially French, have always been my favourite subject, following a teaching career and working with primary and secondary aged pupils was to me a natural and genuine desire.
I am fluent in Greek, French, advanced in German and with good knowledge in Spanish language being able to actively contribute to the improvement of pupils' listening, oral and written skills. As language and culture are intimately linked, the above language skills together with my familiarisation with the relevant foreign cultures during my school and academic periods of life made me a global-minded person respecting all ethnic groups and recognising the importance of designing opportunities for learners to experience better and appreciate the cultural diversity.
I love working with primary aged pupils in groups or on an individual basis, aiming to cultivate an effective, happy and active learning environment by infusing French culture, using various resources and organising stimulating play and hands-on activities.
I love also working with secondary aged students providing them the extra-support and adapting my lessons to cater for their individual needs.
Throughout my teaching in a classroom and on an individual basis, I always establish great professional rapport with my students and create a trusting atmosphere through sensitivity to students’ strengths and weaknesses.
I have always been fascinated in expanding my personal and professional experiences. So, I feel that my move to UK (in July '16) with my family - my husband and two children - offered to me a real enrichment of diverse professional environments. Joining the TSST programme at a Secondary Academy, which involved French and Spanish lessons observation, support to teachers, tutoring to KS3/KS4 students and delivery of parts of lessons, equipped me with the necessary knowledge of the national curriculum requirements and provided me with a priceless experience of successful teaching to the relevant age of pupils.
As self-motivated, cheerful, punctual and patient individual I feel such personal qualities, along with respect and honesty when working in partnership with the parents and carers, have also enabled me to be an effective self-employed French Tutor for more than ten years. This was reflected on the excellent results which primary and secondary pupils with different levels obtained to their official French examinations recognised by the Common European Framework of Reference of Languages (A1-A2-B1-B2-C1).
I am here to create the proper learning experiences for my students that will engage and motivate them and help them love the French language.

I’m 31 years of age. I have a variety of interests including football, video games and Marvel comics and films. For the last 3 winters I took a break from teaching to spend time abroad working the winter ski seasons. Unfortunately I’m still not an expert skier and my snowboarding is rubbish, but I saw some beautiful sights!
10 years in total as a maths teacher (including training year).
1 and a half years as second in department, including training new teachers.
Have continued work on term placements over the last 2 years in between ski work.
I develop fundamental understanding through thought provoking questions and a patient approach.
I endeavour to liaise with class teachers to ensure that the work covered in tuition is there to develop understanding in weak areas as oppose to identifying them.
When necessary I can use my experience of the 3 main exam boards and corresponding materials to help identify challenging topics.

Hello! My name is Adam. I am 32 years old and male. I work as an English teacher for people who do not speak English as their native language. I was born in Manchester, England. I have a degree from Lancaster University and I also have a certificate in English teaching. I teach all levels from beginner to advanced and I teach people of all ages. I can teach small groups or I can teach individuals. I can visit the student’s home if the distance is not too far. Students can also visit my home for lessons. The first lesson will be free so that students can decide if they like me as their teacher. The first lesson will consist of an assessment of the student’s English level, followed by learning some new vocabulary. As a tutor I balance all of the necessary skills throughout lessons: Speaking, reading, writing, listening, grammar and vocabulary. I will create custom lesson plans for each of my students and I will give my students lessons which help them in the areas they need it most: Whether the student wishes to improve their English to get better grades in school, to perform better at work, or simply to fit in whilst living in England. My fee is £20 per hour for a single student. £10 per hour for each additional student. Up to a limit of 5 students at a time. I do not give online lessons as I feel teaching is better when done face to face. Though I specialise in ESOL I’m also happy to give English lessons to native speakers who are in primary school or high school.
