I'm Laura, and I've always loved learning about the world around me. This led to studying physics to a doctoral level, and discovering my passion lies in the communication of science, and sharing my enthusiasm for the subject.
In my lessons I favour a conversational approach. This allows me to engage the student while showing me their thinking. From here I can gently disentangle any confusion leading to a deeper understanding of the topic.
Lesosns themselves are tailored to the student and can include teaching of new content, revision of previous content or practicing questions together to help the student achieve mastery. I am flexible and happy to know the topic in advance or for the student to turn up on the day and let me know what they would like to practice. This can include any questions that came up over the week in other lessons of the subject at school, for instance.
I do have split pricing, so I charge £50 per hour during the week, and £55 per hour at the weekend.

I have been associated with teaching and research for more than 7 years. During my teaching career, I taught various courses at the undergraduate level to Diploma in Engineering and B.E students and setup and designed new experiments and theory papers at the UG level. Moreover, I have been actively involved in experimental condensed matter physics research that includes investigating and perfecting the properties of oxide materials for device applications.
My PhD research topic is the first step in a long-term applied research project that examines the reproduction story through applied research. To investigate why and how magnetic impurity insertion affects nonmagnetic materials, my future research plans include a study of the continuity of nanomaterials with various structures and morphologies, as well as organic-inorganic hybrid composite materials for future photovoltaic applications. Both my ongoing and future research projects will contribute to increasing the use of nanomaterials in numerous applications, i. e. engineering, energy, environment, and health.
My experiences in teaching courses including "Fundamentals of Physics," "Modern Physics," "Fundamentals of Nanotechnology," and "Applied Physics" have further prepared me to teach a wide range of courses from an interdisciplinary perspective.

I love to teach. I have experience teaching both formally and informally. I am currently offering online tutoring as well as one-to-one tutoring. At the moment I am tutoring an individual in English. We are working on fluency and communication. I am able to carry out CV and coursework reviews, to make sure they are of a high standard. I have also helped individuals create new Cvs, in order to gain sought employment.
I am a self-motivated individual who is confident in my ability to be an excellent tutor. I feel I have the right attributes that make a good tutor. I am enthusiastic with a friendly personality. I have excellent written, verbal, and organisational skills. I am able to empathise with others and I have shown myself to be a very committed person throughout my life. If online tutoring is preferable, I have an allocated area with all the correct tools to make the perfect learning environment. Alternatively, I have all the required utensils to enable an excellent tutoring session, in one-to-one sessions. I have a full up-to-date PVG certificate and I am part of the (SSSC).
I am University educated and educated to a high level in all core subjects. I would be happy to teach English, History, or Modern studies (secondary level) and all subjects at primary school level. I am confident in my abilities to tutor at primary level, secondary level as well as adult education.
I have formal teaching experience from working at Glenmanor primary school. I was able to demonstrate my commitment by helping within the P6 class. I gained knowledge of how a class was structured each day. I could see the major aims within the class included achieving literacy and numeracy goals, amongst all pupils, as well as maintaining goals in other core subjects such as art, science, and languages. In the mornings literacy skills would be focused on and in the mid-morning the children would practice numeracy skills. Afternoons would then conclude with learning other central subjects such as art. I was able to observe and learn from an experienced teacher. I offered support and interacted with the pupils from a distance, something I really enjoyed. I helped organise the classroom and utilised learning resources to encourage a positive learning environment. I feel I helped build the children’s confidence, which made me feel much more confident, that this was something I was passionate about. I feel I gained a wealth of skills and knowledge from my time here and I was able to gain some understanding of modern primary education.
Additionally, I have experience working in an additional needs school (Redburn Primary School). I adopted a caring and responsible attitude, as I was working with children with a variety of special needs. I worked as a classroom assistant and had to communicate in a clear concise manner. I worked well with each teacher and helped set, organise, and deliver each lesson. This was not only a teaching role but also a caring role, which I found gratifying.
I furtherly enjoy tutoring, it’s a role I find rewarding. I would like to think I could help individuals become more confident and succeed in their studies or goals.
Thank you for your consideration.

Miss Lara started dancing Ballet over 17 years and have the teaching experience in 9 years. She is well- known in Royal Academy of Dance syllabus and she also could provide the class of PBT (Progressing Ballet Technique). All level and age is welcome.
The class would based on your needs, such as keep practicing the RAD syllabus (if you would have an exam on or you just want to start with the syllabus) or just the Free Exercise class. Miss Lara would based on the age you might be learned to provide the exercise in the class. All classes are included the warm up exercise, barre work(except under age 5), centre work, include the adage, allegro, and the relaxation for end the class. All classes in 60 mins.
if you are a new learner or an advanced dancer, you still can attend the class of PBT ( Progessing Ballet of Technique), which is good for working on your muscles, but it takes time to keep practicing. After a period of practice, you could feel the improvements in your normal dance class.
