I'm Laura, and I've always loved learning about the world around me. This led to studying physics to a doctoral level, and discovering my passion lies in the communication of science, and sharing my enthusiasm for the subject. In my lessons I favour a conversational approach. This allows me to engage the student while showing me their thinking. From here I can gently disentangle any confusion leading to a deeper understanding of the topic. Lesosns themselves are tailored to the student and can include teaching of new content, revision of previous content or practicing questions together to help the student achieve mastery. I am flexible and happy to know the topic in advance or for the student to turn up on the day and let me know what they would like to practice. This can include any questions that came up over the week in other lessons of the subject at school, for instance. I do have split pricing, so I charge £50 per hour during the week, and £55 per hour at the weekend. |
