I'm a tutor whose goal is to make your least favourite subject your strongest subject. Although you might still dislike it, rest assured, you will be good at it!
I specialise in maths, biology, chemistry, physics, and medical subjects, and I love breaking down tricky concepts into simple, understandable parts. Whether you're struggling with your coursework or want to boost your grades, I'm here to help.

Experienced teacher with a proven track record of successfully supporting students to improve and make progress both at GCSE and A level History. Specialises in US, Korea/Vietnam, Norman England and Migration units at GCSE - former examiner - and Unit 2R Cold War at A level. As lead teacher of the NEA for many years, I can offer expert guidance in completing this section of the AQA A level History course too. I have taught at Queen Elizabeth School, Barnet, ranked as the top state school in the country, for the last 4 years including guiding many Oxbridge physics, natural sciences, medicine and engineering candidates. I have a degree in Automotive Engineering and a PhD in Racecar Aerodynamics both from Loughborough University, where I also taught undergraduate modules in Statics & Dynamics, Fluid Dynamics, Low Speed Aerodynamic, Ground Vehicle Aerodynamics and CAD. Prior to completing my PGCE I was a research engineer developing hydrogen fuel cell technology for a range of clean technology applications.
I have recently moved from London to Nottingham with my family and am available for tutoring of Science (KS3) and Physics (GCSE and A Level) online or in person.

His Industrial experience adds practical insights to his academic expertise. His educational background includes a strong proficiency in the Russian language, gained during his studies in Ukraine. Dr A. has held various administrative roles such as Head of Department and Dean of Faculty, demonstrating his leadership and versatility in adapting to new academic trends.

I have been teaching since 2006 as a Primary School Teacher and have been very fortunate and lucky to have worked at a range of schools.
I have taught in outstanding schools, that have been satisfactory or required improvement and faith schools. I have taught as a classroom teacher in KS1 and KS2. I have experience of both phonics assessment and SATS experience. The bulk of my career has been teaching in London schools and more recently I have taught in schools in Leicestershire, Derby and Nottingham. In all schools I have worked in, my lessons have been judged ‘good’ or ‘outstanding’.
It has been a valuable teaching experience which has certainly shaped my professional outlook and provided me with a rich insight into what you can achieve with children. This has allowed me to to develop into a passionate, enthusiastic and dedicated teacher. I am able to plan, assess, reflect and adapt my teaching to ensure that all children have a challenging and enjoyable experience and make excellent progress.
Lesson observations of my teaching have highlight how children are enthusiastic, engaged, eager to learn and are confident when attempting tasks. Tasks are differentiated for all abilities and especially the higher ability who need to be stretched continually. I encourage children to become independent by trying their best, keep trying and never give up. I have found children to have become resilient and not afraid of tackling new concepts or new challenges.

Working in secondary school almost 17 years (local school and overseas) granted me valuable opportunities to teach a variety of courses, including EAL English, Business Studies, Liberal Studies (Humanities), Economics, Geography and Integrated Business. Among the most satisfying experiences for me as a teacher has been instructing student to understand, analyze and practice their knowledge properly and successfully.
Through my teaching thus far, I have found the method of facilitating rather than dictating to be a highly beneficial style of teaching.
