I am a highly experienced and enthusiastic tutor to students up to 18 years of age with a Masters in Education and responsibility for tutoring and assessing newly qualified teachers. I have taught in schools as a senior leader for over 20 years and have been an examiner for the Edexcel and AQA exam boards for over 15 years. I pride myself in delivering personalised learning programmes to all of my students and ensure that all work completed is awarded with the highest level of written and verbal feedback. My lessons are always well resourced and are matched to the student's abilities and interests to make them challenging, engaging and enjoyable. I am very professional but also have an excellent rapport with my students. I tailor lessons to each individual and deliver them in a warm, encouraging and friendly manner whilst maintaining the highest expectations of all my tutees.

I am a professional drummer and teacher. I'm very passionate about teaching and all things music! I have been teaching all ability levels from absolute beginner right through to professional players for over ten years, and have had students from 6 years old, to 66 years old! I've also performed drum clinics/seminars through the UK and internationally demonstrating my approach to technique and musicality on the drum kit. Each lesson is tailored to suit the individual needs and wants of the student. I have taught German in Grammar Schools for over 20 years and have been both Head of German and Head of Languages in the past. I have a thorough understanding of the current GCSE and A Level specifications and work as an examiner for the GCSE German Writing paper, Thanks to my Oxford education, I have an excellent working knowledge of the German language - both vocabulary and grammar - and a particular specialism in teaching German Literature at A Level.
