I started my career as a general and psychiatric nurse and became a pioneer in the massage industry in 1986 working alongside and within the NHS. I have 32 years experience as a massage therapist and have been teaching since the late 80's. I teach Level 3 ITEC qualifications in Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology. Body Massage: Aromatherapy: Sports Massage: Stone Therapy;Business Plan and Complementary Therapies as well as many CPD workshops and classes in Deep Tissue Massage; Facial Acupressure: Thai Foot Massage etc I run my own school and have trained over 2000 therapists. I have 100% pass rate and a very low drop out rate and have built a very good reputation in my field.
After teacher training I spent a year on supply working at various schools on short and long term placements in a variety of subjects. During one placement at a pupil referral unit I was offered a full time position and worked here for 1 year with students with behavioural difficulties and special needs. I then moved to Frederick Gough school in scunthorpe again to fill a position as a teacher of ICT I am now in my 9th year of teaching. After 2 years I secured a position as a head of year and have worked with all age groups from 7 to 11 in this time providing pastoral care and coordinating the learning over over 270 students. I Have just completed my NPQSL (National professional qualification for senior leaders) and hope to make the step to assistant head in the very near future. My relationship and rapport with all students is excellent and I am to help them achieve their best, whatever that may be.
Hello all! My name is Matt and I am 24 and just about to start my 4th year teaching having started at my school after University and now wish to offer tuition services after school hours in a range of subjects and preparation for 11+ examinations and grammar school entry. In my current post I am a Year 6 form tutor, Head of Computing whilst also teaching 2 English classes and a variety of PE and Games lessons. I find that my young age enables me to personalise learning easily, building productive working relationships with children built through humour, trust and common interests.
I specialise in finding innovative methods of teaching, especially for those with learning difficulties as it is my belief that all children are capable if given the right tools to succeed, which can sometimes be a simple fix or more complex. Either way, I take it on myself to try a range of things that may help each individual as every child's mind functions in different ways; this has paid off in my previous classes, especially in regard to creative writing.
I am relatively flexibile outside of normal school hours and would be more than happy to discuss sessions to best suit individual needs in regard to time, location and subject(s). Please do not hesitate to get in touch with any queries.
I have over 15 years of teaching experience in a variety of settings both in school and in alternative provision. I have taught both GCSE courses and vocational courses in both Physical education/Sport and Computing/ICT. I have also ben nominated for some prestigious awards in Alternative provision.

Strong community and social services professional with a Postgraduate Cert in Education focused in Physical Education from University of Exeter. Background as a professional sportsman.
I teach PE in a secondary school which has an associated college. I am lead teacher for GCSE PE and A Level PE, having delivered all specification changes over the last 20 years very successfully. In terms of results my cohorts are consistently well above national averages and on average despite having students who are from one of the country's bottom 20% of deprived areas, students also on average perform 1 grade higher than any other subject that they are taught. I have developed a workbook method of learning, whereby all relevant content is connected with progressively harder tasks. Within the workbooks are internet/video links to break up and vary the learning experience. This equates to a one stop shop for each individual topic that is taught. I can also assist in developing coursework, which is usually a contributing factor in success/failure.
