Helping Students Build Confidence, Achieve Success & Unlock Their Potential
As a qualified UK teacher with 15 years of experience, I specialize in Primary, Secondary, and GCSE education across maths, English, and science. Holding a PGCE and QTS, I have taught in mainstream schools, special educational needs (SEN) provisions, and diverse learning environments, ensuring that students of all backgrounds and abilities receive the support they need to succeed.
I have extensive experience working with students with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other special educational needs (SEN), using tailored strategies to help them overcome learning barriers. Every child learns differently, and my individualized approach ensures that each student gains confidence, develops a deep understanding of key concepts, and excels academically.
Why Choose My Approach? ✅ Personalized, Student-Centered Learning
Many students struggle in traditional classroom settings because they don’t receive individual attention. I take a tailored approach, designing lesson plans that cater to each student’s unique learning style. Whether they need reinforcement in certain subjects or are preparing for major exams, my structured yet flexible lessons ensure maximum engagement and retention.
✅ Building Confidence & Independence
Success in academics isn’t just about getting the right answers—it’s about building confidence and problem-solving skills. Many students fear maths or struggle with English because they lack self-belief. I focus on instilling a growth mindset, helping students feel capable, motivated, and ready to take on challenges.
✅ Expert Exam Preparation – GCSE, A-Level & Beyond
Preparing for GCSEs, A-Levels, and entrance exams can be stressful for both students and parents. My tutoring approach includes: ✔ Effective revision strategies – Teaching students how to study smarter, not harder. ✔ Time management techniques – Helping them structure revision for maximum efficiency. ✔ Exam technique coaching – Training students on how to approach different types of questions. ✔ Regular progress assessments – Identifying strengths and areas for improvement.
✅ Proven SEN & Autism Support
Having taught in SEN provisions and mainstream schools, I understand the unique challenges faced by students with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and processing difficulties. I provide: ✔ Sensory-friendly learning techniques to help students focus and stay engaged. ✔ Structured lessons with clear routines to reduce anxiety and build consistency. ✔ Patience, encouragement, and a positive learning environment where students feel valued and supported.

NHS Doctor with over 10 years of experience studying and completing exams and over 7 years teaching Maths, Biology and Chemistry for KS3, GCSE and A Level. My tuition approach is listed below.
Each lesson begins with a run-through of the topic and explanation of key concepts with opportunities for pupils to ask questions. Students are then provided with high yield exam questions and worksheets to complete. Questions are then marked together to highlight areas of strength and areas of improvement. An emphasis is always maintained on exam technique during each lesson. Assessments to determine student improvement are provided every 4-6 weeks.
All students are taught how to study effectively using two evidence-based study techniques:
1) Active Recall - Here students create useful revision questions to test their memory of certain topics
2) Spaced Repetition - Here students are taught how to strategically review topics regularly and boost their chances of remembering important exam content throughout the year and leading up to exams.
My classes are always tailored with a personalised programme for each and every student and remain friendly and engaging. All resources including specialised notes for each exam board, revision questions and exam question related to the tutees exam board are provided free of charge. Tuition goes beyond the `hour slot` as students are able to contact me via phone, email and tutor hunt messaging. I also remain engaged with the lesson and do not `clock-watch`.
For 2023, I now have a team of dedicated tutors offering tailored approaches to tuition. Please get in touch if you have any questions or preference for female tutors as this can be organised too.
Thank you for all enquiries currently, we are organising classes as soon as possible.
Spring an Summer Booster Courses will be available upon request.

As a tutor, I focus on creating an engaging, supportive, and interactive learning environment tailored to each student’s needs. I begin by assessing their current understanding of the subject to identify any gaps or areas for improvement. Then, I break down complex concepts into simpler, digestible parts, using clear examples and real-life applications when possible. I encourage active participation, asking questions and prompting students to think critically and problem-solve on their own.
I also integrate a variety of teaching methods, such as visual aids, hands-on activities, and practice exercises, to cater to different learning styles. Patience and empathy are key aspects of my approach; I work at a pace that suits the student’s comfort level while pushing them to challenge themselves.
Additionally, I focus on building the student’s confidence and developing a growth mindset, ensuring they not only understand the material but also feel empowered to tackle new challenges. Regular feedback, progress tracking, and encouragement help foster continuous improvement and motivate the student to stay engaged and excited about learning.

Hi everyone!
I am a Spanish native speaker from Cadiz, Andalusia, living and teaching in London for more than 5 years now. I started teaching Spanish as a private tutor and, since 2017, I work in a well-known and sucessful independent school in London, NLCS.
My experience in this school as well as my studies at University back me up to guarentee meaningful and well prepared Spanish lessons, focusing on the concrete specification that the student is doing at school, since I am familiar with all of them.
As the situation is not suitable for 1-2-1 lessons in person, I am ofering them online. My IT skills and experience teaching online in the summer term in my school allows me to say that I can offer the same quality of lessons that will help you to achieve your goals.
I look forward to hearing from you.
All best,
Carmen

I am a professional lawyer from Spain and also I hold a Graduate Certificate In Spanish Language to adults(GCSLTA) by Instituto Cervantes London (accredited by the University of Roehampton, London) and a Training course of young learners of Spanish (Instituto Cervantes London) I act as a tutor for other professionals and students (Sixth Form, College and University) and thereby respectively create a plan for every tutee in order to meet their individual goals. This may entail invigorating their vocabulary, speaking or writing skills. I have a flexible time schedule. This, therefore, makes me able to adapt my time into your daily routines, be it; arranging a lesson around someones working hours, going to a university (based in London) or meeting in a central location which best suits the client. My lessons have been used for myriad purposes. - You could be looking to expand your vocabulary as you are about to go to a Spanish speaking country (tourism and business). - You could be preparing for an international exam such as DELE. - Or you may just want to learn another language! I am adept in developing and implementing curriculum managing classrooms and helping students advance their understanding of Spanish language and culture. Moreover, while my on-the-job experience has afforded me a well-rounded skill set including first-rate people and administrative abilities I excel at: Increasing student concentration participation and accountability. Creating hands-on curriculum to promote interest. Designing creative lesson plans and utilising diverse technology. Tutoring and mentoring individual students.

I am 19 years old and have a passion for teaching Spanish. Having tutored both children and adults and seeing them develop their skills in the language, either preparing for an exam or just as a hobby, I take great pride from being able to see their development first hand. It is something I hope to see much more of in the future.
