Hi I'm Jon. I'm here to offer Drama specialist tutoring including Shakespeare, practitioners, theatre from all eras and traditions, exam prep, plays, devising and all other aspects of academic drama learning. I am an experienced teacher and examiner and have trained with Gecko, Splendid, Cube, Big Brum and the National Theatre. I can support with drama homework, revision, essay writing and support parents with home schooling. I am also happy to help with English and American literature and drama. I have worked professionally as an actor, a playwright and as a singer-songwriter for the past five years, since graduating from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in 2016. Last year I wrote, composed and starred in a new original musical which is being revived again this year. Later, in the summer, I will play my first festival set as a solo singer-songwriter. I have been playing guitar, keyboards and writing songs for over ten years. My first album and tour as a singer-songwriter are due next year.
At school, I received 8 grade 1 (the highest possible grade) Standard Grade Awards (equivalent of GCSEs). I then received 5 grade A (the highest possible grade) Higher Awards (equivalent of A Levels), as well as receiving Best In School Awards for English and History, I received Certificates of Merit for the three other subjects: Music, French and Maths.
I have worked as a Nanny, teaching instruments to under 10s, and have extensive experience teaching drama school auditionees of all ages, students having gone on to earn places in RADA, Guildhall, LAMDA, Central and many others.
