I am a Science teacher based in Liverpool and have been teaching for 3 years. I teach GCSE Science (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) and have experience with both AQA Trilogy and Synergy specifications. I offer tutoring for GCSE Science and AS/A-Level Biology via online sessions. Sessions are tailored to the individual student's needs to meet their goals and build confidence in tackling the content.
Sessions are taught via Skype/Google Meet using a shared screen Powerpoint which is also provided to students at the end of each session. The focus of each session is knowledge recap, improving exam technique using a range of exam-style questions as well as addressing concerns about learning time that has been lost during the Covid-19 pandemic and ensuring students are prepared once they return to the classroom.
If you are interested please contact me, we would start with a free, introductory meeting with myself, the student and a parent/carer either by video or phone to discuss the sessions and answer any questions.

I am currently a secondary science teacher. I have an absolute passion for science, I developed my love of science in high school when I was a student myself, I had an amazing science teacher who helped me discover more about the scientific world.
Another passion of mine is teaching, I enjoy guiding students through their learning journey and I have always wanted to be able to share my passion for science with other people.
I am currently in my second year of teaching and I have an outstanding knowledge of the curriculum and AQA exam board.
I enjoy getting know to my students and helping them to realise their potential in science. I believe science should be a fun subject that everyone should be able to enjoy given the chance. I like to make sure my lessons are fun and engaging.
I aim to improve my own teaching practice as well as helping students reach their full potential. My tutor sessions will be tailored to the needs of every student based on your learning style. At this present time my tutor sessions will run on an online basis only and I aim to help you achieve the best you can

My name is Rachael and I am a qualified primary teacher with 15 years’ experience. I have a passion for encouraging a love of learning. I believe that if a child enjoys what they are learning then they will be motivated to listen, participate and ultimately achieve. I have a wide variety of experience working with SEND children and I understand that not everyone learns in the same way. Teaching is about adapting your strategies to meet the needs of the individual. As a mum of two children with ASD I fully comprehend the stress and pressures that are put upon parents to engage their children in learning. Therefore, I strive to create an enjoyable learning environment for your child to achieve their full potential and motivate them to want to learn.
In addition to my work with SEND children I have a great deal of experience tutoring children in preparation for their exams, whether that is SATs or the 11+. I taught year 5 and 6 for many years and my subject knowledge is very up to date on exam questions and expectations, particularly in maths and science. Whether it is about building up confidence or honing in those exams techniques I would love to help.
