I have a Bachelor degree in music education. I have 10 years experience in teaching piano and I have taught music in a primary school from Year 1 to 6 for 14 years. I love children and I am a patient they seems to respond to positively. I organised with good sense of time management including classroom management and lesson planning. I am a responsible person who complete work on time. It would be an honour to be able to share my love of and enthusiasm for music.

Hello! I'm a music teacher with 5 years of experience and I specialise in harmony/theory, composition, and jazz improvisation. Whether you/ your child is a complete beginner, or you're a professional musician looking to 'add more musical ingredients to the cupboard', or anywhere inbetween, I'd love to hear from you so we can sort out a free taster lesson.
If you are completely new to music, the piano/keyboard (or the drums) is the best place to start. The layout of the keyboard forms the basis for our understanding of harmony and theory, without which, learners of instruments (other than drums) will be at a significant disadvantage.
Things I can help with:
- inspiring young beginners to take up music-making, with a joyful, creative and holistic approach.
- electric bass (bass guitar) lessons, beginner to intermediate
- saxophone lessons, beginner to advanced
- provide a method and structure to beginner/intermediate students looking to take the next step with piano, saxophone, or electric bass

- help intermediate - advanced pianists develop better technique, up to grade 8 level
- provide a comprehensive training in jazz harmony, advanced rhythm, classical composition, songwriting, or improvisation

- Diploma-level classical piano
- Advanced virtuoso electric bass
- Forcing students to learn things they are not interested in
- Forcing students to try to play things they are not yet ready for
- Someone who is looking for the traditional 'strict piano teacher' who doesn't let you choose your own music, punishes you for making mistakes, and has a rigid teaching style that is not adapted to each student
1-1 teaching in Piano, Violin, Saxophone and Trumpet in Cardiff as well as maths tutoring. I would be happy to teach multiple instruments to the same person at a reduced price for the second. I am experienced in my instruments and so far have taught trumpet and maths so I have experience in teaching children. I have grade 8 qualifications in all 4 instruments and study piano at Cardiff University School of Music. I have an A* mathematics A-level and completed two years of mathematics at Cardiff University before I decided to pursue music further instead. Price shown is per hour but lessons are avaiable from 30 minutes to 90 minutes.

Hi my name is Laura. I have always enjoyed music and I believe it is one of the best ways you can express yourself as an individual. I started learning the electronic keyboard at the age of 11 at a music school, later migrating to piano in my teens. My obsession with music continued all to the way through to my late teens and early 20s when I later graduated with a Bachelor's Degree with Honours at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge. While studying music at university, I was lucky to receive expert tuition from Jazz Pianist and composer Chris Ingham. Since graduation I always wanted to be in a funk or soul band and even now regularly turn up to jazz gigs and jams and play at open mics as I feel its so important to keep your music fresh and learn off other people.
I have been teaching piano as a peripatetic and private teacher since I left University, so when I was 21 years old.
I was really lucky to experience tuition in such a contemporary, 'non stuffy' manner, I truly believe this is the way music should be taught. There's nothing worse than dull piano lessons! Music is like a language, we learn it through the art of doing. I believe in teaching music in a friendly, non-fussy way and I like to bring out the best in my students by tailoring their lessons around them and their goals. My students study their music and theory then take exams when they are ready, I would never put a student through the pressure of an exam unless they are ready. I've played piano for the last 12 years and I taught piano to several students, listening to their passions and adapting my lessons to the music genres they're more attracted to.
I studied at The Birmingham School of Music and the Guildhall, London where I graduated in vocal studies and Music Therapy respectively. I am a qualified teacher and have worked in various schools across the East Midlands both as a teacher and a Music Therapist. I work as an arranger for a number of acapella groups both in the folk and gospel industry. I perform regularly both in churches and small venues as a multi-instrumentalist, conductor and singer.

I have taught music up to 'A' level and as well as all over the UK I have worked in Romania and West Africa. I regularly teach the compositional element of ABRSM exams to grade 8, where I have a 100% pass rate and have over 25 years experience in special and state schools. I teach any age and ability, for exams (grades 1 to 8 and all Diplomas) or purely for fun. I’m very well qualified and have been teaching for twenty years including several years as a University tutor.
I started Piano at age 5 and immediately felt a natural connection with it. I shortly acheived grade 8 piano with distinction 5 years later aged 10. The examiners report said "You have a genuine feel for the piano. All the very best for your future music-making." I then acheived diploma piano (ATCL) aged 14 and grade 8 violin one year previously.
Along with winning prizes such as Milton Keynes young musician of the year (U18) aged 12, I have used my music to get me offers from Eton, Harrow, Winchester and I chose Eton, for which I got a full music scholarship.
I am also a keen academic, currently studying computing at Imperial College London and have recently been elected department representative for well-being and welfare. At Eton, I was chosen as the secretary of the Computer Science Society where I started and hosted a club to teach younger students coding. I acheived 10 9s at GCSE including Maths, English Literature, English Language, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Spanish, Geography, Music Technology and Computer Science. I also acheived 3 A*s at A level including Maths, Further Maths and Computer Science
