Music has been my life’s passion and being able to share that passion with others is the best job in the world! Based in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, your piano lessons are taught face to face in a purpose built studio. Whatever your starting point, age or preferred style of music I will tailor a course of lessons just for you. We can even learn online together with one-to-one video lessons. Your piano lessons will be relaxed and fun with structured learning at the heart of each and every lesson.
With 22 years experience of being a qualified primary and secondary classroom teacher and offer age appropriate lessons that are always fun and engaging. I can also offer tuition that supports students with special educational needs. There are no barriers to learning music. As well as playing on a modern Kawai upright piano we will have fun learning music theory by playing a range of percussion instruments, synthesisers and musical games.
Andrew Jays School of Music is a family run music school covering Surrey and South London. Our Principle, Andrew, graduated from The BRIT Performaing Arts and Technology College (Jessie J, Adele, Any Winehouse are past students) and is also a performing solo singer. We are pround to have passionate and talented teachers working alongside us, so our students also gain knowledge from their performance experience.
We hold exams with ABRSM and Trinity College London of which we have a 100% pass rate!

1-1 teaching in Piano, Violin, Saxophone and Trumpet in Cardiff as well as maths tutoring. I would be happy to teach multiple instruments to the same person at a reduced price for the second. I am experienced in my instruments and so far have taught trumpet and maths so I have experience in teaching children. I have grade 8 qualifications in all 4 instruments and study piano at Cardiff University School of Music. I have an A* mathematics A-level and have completed two years of mathematics and music at Cardiff University. Price shown is per hour but lessons are avaiable from 30 minutes to 90 minutes.

Hello! I'm a music teacher with 5 years of experience and I specialise in harmony/theory, composition, and jazz improvisation. Whether you/ your child is a complete beginner, or you're a professional musician looking to 'add more musical ingredients to the cupboard', or anywhere inbetween, I'd love to hear from you so we can sort out a free taster lesson.
If you are completely new to music, the piano/keyboard (or the drums) is the best place to start. The layout of the keyboard forms the basis for our understanding of harmony and theory, without which, learners of instruments (other than drums) will be at a significant disadvantage.
Things I can help with:
- inspiring young beginners to take up music-making, with a joyful, creative and holistic approach.
- electric bass (bass guitar) lessons, beginner to intermediate
- saxophone lessons, beginner to advanced
- provide a method and structure to beginner/intermediate students looking to take the next step with piano, saxophone, or electric bass
- inspire teens and adults to delve into the world of music with no prior experience
- help intermediate - advanced pianists develop better technique, up to grade 8 level
- provide a comprehensive training in jazz harmony, advanced rhythm, classical composition, songwriting, or improvisation

- Diploma-level classical piano
- Advanced virtuoso electric bass
- Forcing students to learn things they are not interested in
- Forcing students to try to play things they are not yet ready for
- Someone who is looking for the traditional 'strict piano teacher' who doesn't let you choose your own music, punishes you for making mistakes, and has a rigid teaching style that is not adapted to each student

Based in West London, I been tutoring for the last 25 years all ages and ABRSM grades, inspiring them to learn and play four hands repertoire, as well as preparing for ABRSM exams. I'm tutoring pupils for their own pleasure or ABRSM grades, in relaxed, positive, encouraging and motivational atmosphere towards achieving better levels of performance. Hi my name is Laura. I have always enjoyed music and I believe it is one of the best ways you can express yourself as an individual. I started learning the electronic keyboard at the age of 11 at a music school, later migrating to piano in my teens. My obsession with music continued all to the way through to my late teens and early 20s when I later graduated with a Bachelor's Degree with Honours at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge. While studying music at university, I was lucky to receive expert tuition from Jazz Pianist and composer Chris Ingham. Since graduation I always wanted to be in a funk or soul band and even now regularly turn up to jazz gigs and jams and play at open mics as I feel its so important to keep your music fresh and learn off other people.
I have been teaching piano as a peripatetic and private teacher since I left University, so when I was 21 years old.
I was really lucky to experience tuition in such a contemporary, 'non stuffy' manner, I truly believe this is the way music should be taught. There's nothing worse than dull piano lessons! Music is like a language, we learn it through the art of doing. I believe in teaching music in a friendly, non-fussy way and I like to bring out the best in my students by tailoring their lessons around them and their goals. My students study their music and theory then take exams when they are ready, I would never put a student through the pressure of an exam unless they are ready. I studied at The Birmingham School of Music and the Guildhall, London where I graduated in vocal studies and Music Therapy respectively. I am a qualified teacher and have worked in various schools across the East Midlands both as a teacher and a Music Therapist. I work as an arranger for a number of acapella groups both in the folk and gospel industry. I perform regularly both in churches and small venues as a multi-instrumentalist, conductor and singer.
Tutoring Experience:
I have taught music up to 'A' level and as well as all over the UK I have worked in Romania and West Africa. I regularly teach the compositional element of ABRSM exams to grade 8, where I have a 100% pass rate and have over 25 years experience in special and state schools. I am available to teach online over Skype or Zoom.
