Hi! I'm Katie, I'm 25 and I live in Lancashire, UK. I run my own science tutoring business, biologybykatie. I have always had a passion for education and loved my whole time through school, sixth form and university. I have a particular love for Science hence why I chose to complete my undergraduate degree in Biology. I am friendly, approachable and keen to help young people with their understanding of GCSE subjects. If I can play a part in a student's journey to success, it will be a great achievement for me. I am friendly, patient, understanding and therefore feel I will find some success in online tutoring. Please feel free to contact me with any queries - I am not limited to my subject preferences and would be open to tutoring other subjects. After all, tutoring helps keep my brain active and learning too!!

In my time with GoStudent, I had to manage my time and plan my lessons beforehand for each and every student as they were in different years and at different levels therefore I had to tailor each lesson to meet the needs of my pupils.

Welcome! My name is Mohammed Saif-ullah, and I am a 3rd year dental medicine student. With over 3 years of tutoring experience, I have honed my skills in helping students unlock their full academic potential.
Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of guiding students through their GCSEs, witnessing remarkable transformations in their confidence and performance. Many of my past students have achieved outstanding grades in their GCSE exams, often exceeding their expectations.
My approach to tutoring is rooted in personalised attention and tailored lesson plans. I understand that each student has unique strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles. By building strong rapport and understanding their individual needs, I create a supportive learning environment where students feel empowered to tackle challenges head-on.
Beyond simply imparting knowledge, I strive to instil lifelong learning skills that extend beyond the classroom. From effective study techniques to time management strategies, I equip my students with the tools they need to succeed not only in their exams but also in their academic journey as a whole.
As your tutor, I am committed to your success. Whether you're struggling with a specific subject, aiming to
improve your grades, or seeking to deepen your understanding of challenging concepts, I'm here to help you reach your goals. Together, we'll navigate the academic landscape with confidence and enthusiasm.
I look forward to embarking on this learning journey together!
My Teaching Approach
In my approach to teaching students, I prioritize a thorough understanding of the content before delving into exam-style questions. By laying a solid foundation of knowledge, students gain confidence in tackling a variety of mathematical challenges. I believe in fostering critical thinking skills alongside the mastery of concepts, empowering students to apply their understanding to diverse problem-solving scenarios. Through a structured yet adaptable approach, I aim to equip my students with the tools and strategies necessary to excel in their exams and beyond.

I hold Engineering & IT degree and had worked in various domains across education, banking, insurance, Aerospace & Defence, and currently doing part time consultancy for Gaming development. This wider experience helps me to give students a relevant glimpse of how their present studies can be applied in the wider world. I have over 9 years successful experience tutoring students from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 4. The subjects I teach include: - • 11 plus KS2 -Maths, English & Verbal reasoning preparation • Science – Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Key Stage 1 - 4) • Mathematics (Key Stage 1 - 4) • Computer Science (Key Stage 3-4) • Design & Technology (Key Stage 3-4) I am an experienced and enthusiastic tutor with a strong passion for teaching. I have gained experience working with whole class groups and individual pupils. I have also had the opportunity to work those with various additional needs which has enabled me to improve my skills in areas such as communication, behaviour management and maintaining a flexible approach to teaching styles to meet individual needs. I have supported hundreds of students, and their parents or carers, to identify strategies that enable the attainment above and beyond their subject target grades.
Tutoring Approach
My mission is to make a positive difference in the community’s children's lives through Education. I aim to encourage an enthusiasm for lifelong learning, for students of all ages, by unlocking learning potential and building confidence. Prior to the commencement of tutoring, I offer a free consultation session & free assessment to review the exact level of the students. Then with Students and their parents/carer, we review the current academic report with empathy and listen to the concerns surrounding the subject, including barriers to learning and discussion of appropriate learning styles. I subsequently construct an individual syllabus-specific course of study, aimed at achieving above and beyond the target grade. I provide regular feedback to parents/carers to ensure complete transparency and offer extra hours of tutoring if needed to cover the syllabus or exam preparation.

15 years teaching experience. Starting as a practical demonstrator at Liverpool University and now delivering GCSE Biology Chemistry and Physics and KS3 science. I have taught A level with excellent results in the past but under the old specification so I'm charging more for A-level as it will take longer for me to prepair specification matched activities.

Physics Learning Centre, Tuition Centre
We offer a low cost tuition and supplementary education service to learners from all backgrounds either at home or at one of our tuition centres around the North West. We provide communities with an affordable, accessible and highly inclusive extended tutoring provision which gives young people every opportunity to nurture their talents and achieve meaningful academic success. Our philosophy has been to endeavour to bring out the best from our learners by finding out what motivates them. Our main priority has been to raise attainment levels within the communities we serve. We do this by utilising thoroughly researched, low cost/high impact teaching and learning methods. We have an excellent reputation amongst the communities in which we serve and our approach is very flexible. It is this facet of our service that has made us popular with parents and carers. Although our learning material is mapped to the national curriculum we use it more as a guide rather than a constraint. This allows us to recognise exceptional ability and enables the learner to excel according to their ability. As expected ALL tutors and mentors are DBS checked.
