I am a graduate who has finished studying Maths with Statistics at Royal Holloway University and I have good maths and science teaching skills. I know what techniques are needed for students to thrive and to have a good learning environment. Along with that, I know what techniques are needed to answer exam questions, so that they can do really well, and for them to find their true potential, but most importantly, for students to have a positive and enthusiastic approach to learning. In terms of teaching, I can teach maths, biology and chemistry at KS3, GCSE and A levels. I teach physics at GCSE and at KS3 level. I have 4 years experience as a private tutor and I teach students in the best possible standards as possible as I am very patient and I understand students difficulties and needs and therefore allow them to succeed. I have had 4 years experience in teaching GCSE and A level subjects, which are maths, chemistry, biology and physics. I have also taught geography in the past. I have taught students in person for the past 4 years. For in person teaching, I have taught in libraries and at schools. The first lesson will be a trial lesson, just to introduce myself and also give an indication of where you are working at for your subjects, so that I can plan the lessons according to your needs further forward. At additional request, I will be able to teach Statistics and Further Maths.
For online teaching, I have taught students using Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meets.
Additionally, I have 4 years of experience in teaching students with SEN, as I have taught these students online and in person. I have taught students with ADHD, autism, anxiety, dyslexia and emotional difficulties.

I'm a friendly and supportive tutor with a wide range of teaching and tutoring experience. Each student is different, and not all methods will work for all students - with that in mind, I always begin by discussing where the student is currently, what they would like to achieve from their course, and how they prefer to work. We can then find a way to move forward together.
I use questioning, online and paper-based resources to support students as they progress. It is essential that students have a good understanding of the key scientific concepts, as well as good exam technique - so we focus on both of these areas during our time working together.
I have 7 years of experience teaching in the greater London area, and more than 10 years of experience one-to-one tutoring in both London and Scotland. At my previous school I was Head of Biology, and also ran a Clinical Group for students aiming to study Medicine at university. I now work for two exam boards as an examiner and centre moderator.

Hi, I am Anoushka. I am an online tutor with over 4 years of tutoring experience teaching students from KS1 to A Level in mathematics, physics and chemistry. At school, I always found it frustrating when a teacher would simply give us the basic information and expect us to just blindly memorise it. This always presented problems in exams when the question was more out-of-context. So, I want to try to help students get a really strong and thorough understanding of any topic they struggle with, so that they can smash those tricky exam questions which ask for more than just 'basic recall' of information.Understanding is far more effective and time-efficient than memorisation. With this, I hope students can achieve their maximum potential and achieve high grades alongside succeed in achieving whatever goals they have for their future and develop a life long love for learning of the subject that they are learning.

Hi,
I'm Alex. I've been teaching for 8 years and am currently employed as an Assistant Headteacher at Salesian College in Farnborough.
My experience includes teaching ages 11-18, being a Head of Physics and tutoring at both GCSE and A Level.
I've also been a GCSE and A Level examiner with Edexcel and AQA, which has really helped me to understand what examiners are looking for to allow students to achieve the top grades. This knowledge comes in really helpful when tutoring and teaching students at all levels.
Just get in touch if you'd like more details, or to arrange an initial consultation about how I can best support your child to meet their full potential.

Have been at Kingston grammar school for 6 years and gone through the private school intensive system and know how the process goes and know the specification for maths and science like the back of my hand. An asset I would say that I offer is for tutoring in preparation for entrance exams as I know what key skills schools are looking out for in the exams and the level of understanding required. I myself got into Kingston grammar on the waiting list one of the last people and I know the struggle it is especially at a young age, however over time and working with younger children from 7-15 have learnt and developed techniques which help undertanding of content in a simple way.

I have been tutoring now for over ten years. Both science and mathematics have always been passions of mine and I have enjoyed sharing this with other students via tutoring and teaching. I have helped many students surpass their own expectations in terms of their grades by building up solid understanding of topics and more importantly confidence in themselves. I have taught classes as well as one to one tutoring and can provide references if requested.
I am highly qualified after having finished top of my cohort in Theoretical Physics at the University of Birmingham before obtaining a masters degree from the University of Nottingham. Since then I have started at PhD at Royal Holloway university and along the way I have had placements at world famous Physics institutes such as CERN and Fermilab.
If you are looking to build confidence and boost your grades give me a message!

I am a qualified and experienced Science teacher, teaching GCSE and A-Levels in a top Secondary School in Berkshire with over 10 years of experience.
PLEASE NOTE THE PRICES REFLECT ONE TO ONE TUITION. I also offer group tuitions for a discounted fee for 2 or 3 students per group (very small group so students still receive the benefits of full attention). Please see prices below:
GCSE LEVEL SCIENCE with 2 or 3 students: £40 per person for one hour
CHEMISTRY A-LEVEL with 2 or 3 students: £45 per person for one hour
I have graduated with a BSc degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry at Queen Mary University of London, which included an in-depth study of topics such as: Organic Chemistry, Kinetics, Thermodynamics, Quantum Chemistry and Biochemistry. These are topics which are all included in the new A-Level Chemistry syllabus.
Having done Chemistry, Biology, Psychology and Mathematics at A-Level and holding a BSc degree, gives me sound knowledge of the subject and I am an ambassador of the Teach First Graduate Leadership Programme. I have qualified and gained my PGCE (Post Graduate Certificate in Education) degree from Canterbury Christ Church University (Kent) in the first year of the programme - August 2017, and had worked as a NQT (newly qualified teacher) in the second year of the programme.
I am told to be an approachable person which allows me to build a very good working relationship with my students. They are never afraid of asking questions and this gives me the opportunity to identify problems and rectify them quickly. Alongside this, I am familiar with the requirements of all exam board specifications including the new AQA GCSE Trilogy (9-1) specification.
I organise my tutor sessions according to the needs and potential of my students and measure their progress regularly.
Having taught Biology (GCSE), Chemistry (GCSE and A-Level) and Physics (GCSE) to students of varying different backgrounds and from challenging backgrounds (including SEN students to students of very high ability in top sets), I have the ability to cater to all students` needs in order to push them to the next level. All students are different and they all have varying needs. I try building a relationship of trust and listen to what their needs are. Science is a challenging subject and most students can do very well, provided they have self-belief and are willing to work hard.
Although I currently teach all three Sciences in a secondary school, my specialism lies in Chemistry due to my BSc degree. I am also confident with the new content of the AQA Trilogy Combined Science, OCR A/B and Edexcel GCSE and AQA and Edexcel A level specifications. I have been tutoring since the age of 16 and my initial experience stems from a language school, in which I taught in, alongside private tutoring.
Due to the changes in the new GCSE and A-Level specifications, I ensure that my students are fully equipped to be able to tackle challenging questions. I incorporate exam-style questions into my teaching to boost pupils` confidence and assess their applied knowledge. There is a huge jump from GCSE to A-Levels however my unique teaching style bridges this gap between GCSE and AS-level. I also ensure that homework is set regularly and assessed. I firmly belief that feedback is the most vital aspect to promote student progress therefore, I provided as much feedback as possible based on questions, homework and work set.
Additionally, I have a proven record of helping students make huge progress academically by boosting their attainment grades dramatically and really motivating them to develop a pure passion for Science.
Further experience below:
• Teaching Science to groups of students across years 7 – 13, accounting for the differing ability of students and differentiating work accordingly.
• Ensuring student understanding through consistent and engaging Assessment for Learning
• Developing KS3/4 schemes or work, ensuring that all lessons are planned with clear aims and objectives, in line with departmental schemes of work
• Promoting intellectual curiosity among students through challenges, and encouraging all students to be actively engaged in their own learning and in reviewing their progress against targets.
