Mathematics Tutor, Teacher
If you’re concerned about your child’s academic progress, then I’m confident that I can help you. Your concerns may be down to your children:
• missing lessons due to the Covid-19 pandemic;
• having difficulty with a particular aspect of a syllabus;
• needing to improve results and grades.
I've established a reputation as a friendly, informal teacher whose cheerful and patient style helps even the most nervous and shy students. This enables them to relax, enjoy the lessons and make steady progress.
I joined the Government's National Tutoring ("Catch-up") Programme in 2020.
In recent years I've also taught a number of students with (mild) Special Education Needs, including autism, dyslexia, dyscalculia and cerebral palsy.
I've previously held memberships of both the Institute of Statisticians and the Society of Editors, so am well versed in both Numeracy and Literacy.
NB Have had problems uploading DBS Certificate here, but it's valid and the Update System too. (Can show in person or on-screen.) Numerous testimonials via my website at www.weybridge-home-tutor.co.uk

Mathematics Tutor, Teacher
Do you want to become more confident in Maths lessons and being able keep up with everything what you're explained? With my tutoring, the focused homework and given feedback, students develop skills, increase their self-efficacy and improve their academic performance. Mathematics is the only one subject I have been striving for excellence since I started in school as a student. Now as an experienced Maths teacher and tutor having all qualifications and degrees in Mathematics, I work to bring the best out of my students and get satisfaction out of their progression. I am patient and I believe you can be better in Maths with perseverance, practice and a tutor who knows how to boost student's confidence.
After successfully finishing my PGCE course in St Mary's University Twickenham, I was teacing Mathematics in secondary grammar school for 4 years. During that time I have become aware of students' needs for gaining higher level as making Maths enjoyable and students responsible learners.
I also have three years tutoring experience on one-to-one basis.
I offer a GROUP tutoring up to three students per session. They must be on similar levels in Maths.
I help students to cope with Maths, to gain more confidence, to achieve higher level in school and the only one thing to accomplish it, is more exercises, more solving problems, more revision and the most important is more explanations in the best individual way chosen for each of the tutees. During my lessons I introduce the new material in a simple way. This is followed by working on instructive reinforcing exercises to enhance and deepen understanding and build confidence in the new knowledge. I set focused homework at the end of each lesson and discuss marked homework at the start of the next one using it to emphasis on the areas that require improvement and also for keeping a track of students' progress.
If you are looking for a tutor who is reliable, patient and believe in enhancing student's level and love Mathematics.....I'm here.

I was born & raised in Australia, studied maths & physics & computer science at uni & then have literally worked all over the world in high tech industries, where I have worked as a scientist, a software developer, a trainer and as a manager. I have probably used maths every day of my life!
I strongly believe that education is the key to saving the world & on an individual basis a good education will make your whole life so much better. 'Good' may be down to the teaching resources available in your neighbourhood - which is a lottery! (Hence you might need me :) )
You may also find that I am trying to find the fun in all situations (at least wrt maths) - so hopefully lessons with me will be quite entertaining.
Ever since my uni days, I have tutored people in maths - from upper primary through to A level/HSC/VCE/IB level - and one of my first jobs was as a maths teacher in a 'tough' boys school in Barking (London).
In my work in industry I have taught many classes about many things to people of all cultures and creeds.
My personal style is to always try to translate maths into real world examples that you can relate to AND I try make the lessons funny (it is possible with maths!). The combination will help you remember what you have learnt.
As a natural extension of maths I can also help you with advanced MS-Excel techniques, basic computer science and iphone app development in Xcode & Swift.
In your first lesson we will find out about where you are at with maths and your areas of concern - and I'll explain about how I may be able to help you. We will immediately jump into 1 or 2 of your problem areas, so by the time we have finished the first lesson, you will know if I am going to be the right tutor for you.
I also promise you it will be fun from the word go :)
Pricing
Your first lesson will be free of charge, assuming it is online or in Windsor. Thereafter £22/hour. If I have to drive within 5 miles of Windsor, then it's £25/hour. Beyond that, while I'd like to help you, honestly it isn't worth it for me or you. In that case am sure you will find another good tutor closer.

I`ve been a qualified teacher for 15 years, with 4 years being head of Key Stage 3 and previously head of maths for 10 years in both state and independent settings. I graduated from the University of Portsmouth in 2006 with an engineering degree before completing my PGCE in mathematics. I worked as a coastal defence engineer for 2yrs before returning to teaching. Over the duration of my teaching career I have completed my Post Graduate Diploma to become a qualified teacher of the deaf, a Masters Degree in Mathematics Education and an a Post Graduate Certificate in advanced audiology. I have taught a range of subjects including the three core sciences and mathematics to GCSE level. I have taught in special schools for deaf children and am well practised in delivering for highly differentiated learning needs, catering for those with significant learning difficulties as well as challenging those who are gifted and talented. In the independent sector I have experience of teaching to the 11+ and Common Entrance levels 1, 2 and 3 in mathematics. My teaching style is focused on the individuality of my students. I pride myself on being able to adapt sessions to needs of students to ensure that they understand concepts rather than just remembering processes. I encourage discovery learning and try to facilitate this as much as possible while still maintaining a suitable pace when prepping for exams.

Hi, it's Neil!
I currently work at Citigroup as a Corporate Banking Analyst, having graduated from the University of Warwick with a First Class (with Honours) degree in BSc Economics. My undergraduate dissertation explored housing economics and its relationship with marriage and fertility outcomes, with other areas of focus including trade, financial, behavioural and industrial economics. Having achieved top grades at IGCSE and as part of my International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme at King's College School Wimbledon, I am confident that I have the background to help you achieve similar grades. I have also worked with children during my school years as part of an outreach programme where we went to local primary schools each week to aid the enhancement of their learning. Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you would like to enquire about any of my credentials or how I can tailor learning to suit you best.
Thanks,
Neil :)

I am an expert Mathematics and Physics teacher with international exposure and three main languages. My schooling started in the Lebanon, giving me fluency in Arabic and English and strength in French. As my schooling developed through the International school system in Nigeria and finally graduating with a Lebanese Baccalaureate in Mathematics, I received a fully funded scholarship to pursue Mathematics at the University of Michigan Dearborn and then a partly funded MSc scholarship to specialize in Operations Research at the University of Edinburgh and a MBA from London School of Business and Finance.
My passion for teaching had always been part of my career path. I had the privilege of teaching in several parts of the world catering for a variety of educational systems including GCSE, IGCSE, A-Level, IB, Lebanese Baccalaureate and others. I also taught at University level courses such as Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Electricity for Engineering. I think my life experiences and the diversity in my work experience makes me an excellent communicator and teacher.

Currently, finishing studing Mathematics at the University of Surrey, with a grade of First Class Honours. I finished studying my A-levels at Tiffin School in 2017. As a student who has recently finished their Maths and Further Maths A levels, achieving top grades (A* in Maths, A in Further Maths and a B in Physics), i feel like i can put a student`s perspective on the subject rather than teaching it from a teacher`s point of view. I have had GCSE maths students in the past few years all achieving A grades. Also taught 1st term maths University students their syllabus with them achieving at least a 2:1. I am a very passionate tutor, who will help the student achieve a top grade in Mathematics. To do this, i make lessons structured to each student's needs as every student is different.

I’m Jubina, currently a medical student in 2nd year. I teach KS3 and GCSE students mainly in biology, chemistry and maths. I tailor my lessons depending on the tutee and what he or needs help with from homework to understanding concepts.
I'm enjoy tutoring a lot and helping tutees succeed. I think your son or daughter has the ability to get the top grades regardless of where they are now. They just need to find a way of learning that works for them. I will be open to try different methods of teaching they prefer and go with what works for them. I encourage students to make mistakes now before their exams and learn from them.
My usual lessons begin with a recap from the previous lesson for 10mins with some exam style questions which will be very similar to the previous lessons. This is to make sure the tutee understood and retained what we learnt in the previous lesson. I have found this to be the most efficient for my current tutees. I will also give exam style questions as homework. As someone who was a student I feel this is the most effective way for them to get practice early on so when it comes to the actual exams they should be familiar.
First consultation is free so we can discuss what the tutee would like out of our lessons and where they feel like they need to improve. Their target grades and ways we could get them headed to the right direction. I will then tailor our online lessons for the tutee. The online platform will be on Microsoft teams. I do also do group tuition of groups of 2 maximum at the moment. Do message me if you have any more questions, thank you :)
