I have always had a passion for Mathematics and Physics to help others understand and achieve where they are struggling. I have tutored for over 8 years now, focusing on building pupils' confidence within the subject as well as the general perception of maths and for those focused on exams - nailing down exam techniques. My main aim is to keep the sessions fun and enjoyable and to keep you engaged and interested in the maths being discussed. I look forward to working with you and helping you achieve your best! Each session I deliver will be tailored to the individual students needs and requests. This will be done through the planning of each session dedicated to specific topics highlighted to be of weakness to the student, and assisted by worksheets and relevant exam questions. These sessions will hopefully provide an hour of mathematics that stop those common complaints that "Maths is boring"!
I currently work at a tutorial college in Bristol, teaching Physics and Maths at A-level. In addition to this, I help to administer the UCAS process (help produce personal statements ands write academic references), and also the examination entry process. I have over 25 years experience as a teacher, tutor and middle manager, and still teach and prepare students for A-level exams.

My name is Christine Borg. I grew up in a small island where my education led me to a Bachelor’s degree in General Medical Studies. However, the artistic fibre in me eventually took me to London to study Drama and in 2017, I graduated with a Master’s degree from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts.
I returned to my family and pursued my other life interests: dogs, target shooting, and SCUBA diving amongst other things. I had to earn a living besides trying to put into practice my Acting career. I managed to balance work and getting some experience in Theatre, TV, film, Radio voice overs and singing.
The best balance of work and satisfaction came through teaching but, after Summer 2019 my life brought me back to the UK, where I now live. I took the first good job that came along, solely to earn my living.
However, I want my work be worthwhile besides being my financial income. Satisfaction in my job is of the utmost importance to me, and I believe I can achieve this through teaching.
My qualifications allow me to teach English to students form 3-year-olds to adults, GCSE level Chemistry, Biology and Physics and Science to 8 to 16-year-old students.
As I wish to continue teaching Online, I use all my experience from my TEFL qualifications and Drama school days to improvise and make my lessons as interactive and as interesting as possible. In English classes, in particular, I can help the students with their pronunciation and conversation by giving them confidence in themselves. I try to apply a positive outlook in whatever I am teaching. Engaging with the student is the basis for learning.
