Helping children has always been in my nature even in school when I took childcare studies as an option and did my first placement. Between the smiles you receive and the rewarding moments of a child getting that step closer to learning, experiencing or exploring www.*** sometimes for the first time is magical. At this moment in time I have no children of my own so I can help those around me. I am a full time classroom teacher in the day but I have some time after school I would love to use and help those around me.
After being a Radio and Live event presenter for many I have transferred these skills to the class where I work full time as a year 6 teacher. I have previously taught year 1 2 3 and 4. With this previous career among other jobs, i am able to bring real life contexts to all of my lessons from a variety of angles. Confidence is not just key, in my opinion it is king to any learners accademic and social development therefore my lessons are not just based on accademia but confidence and problem solving. In my spare time i run for charity raising over £2500 to date. I believe whether it is entertaining audiences or educating learners keeping them engaged is key. My main unique selling point is that i am Dyslexic and Dyspraxic myself thereforel I am a good role model for all students as I'm a full time primary teacher proving that anything is possible.
I have worked in education for over 8 years. I started out as a nursery nurse in a small nursery and then went to become a teaching assistant in a primary school. I started in the year 5 class and only recently moved to the year 1 class, where i have much experience in phonics, maths and english in the key stage. I have been working at my school for 7 years now, I love the children and the staff. I was given the job as a Higher level teaching assistant job a couple of years ago and now manage the out of school club within the school. I am now doing my teaching training and degree, and hoping to be qualified in two years in. I have done tutoring around families homes for their children, during their SATS or even GCSE'S but my forte is EYFS and KS1.
I offer personalised online tutoring to primary aged students, whether they have specific gaps in their learning, learn in a certain way, or are capable of achieving more with the right help.
Online tuition allows me the opportunity to share my highly effective teaching strategies to help children around the world achieve success in their learning. I create engaging learning experiences in my online platform, with a range of activities to bring learning to life, keeping my students inspired.
I have over 8 years of international classroom teaching experience and I am accredited in Scotland and British Columbia, Canada. During my time teaching in The United Arab Emirates I was presented with an Excellence for Education Award. This was in recognition of my outstanding achievement and excellent educational performance in the Emirate Schools Council. My exemplary teaching practices allow for successful tutoring sessions, equipping children with the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to excel in their learning.

I am an experienced Primary School teacher. I have been working in inner city Birmingham for 10 years. I currently teach year 2, so I am able to support children preparing for their year two SATs and phonics screening check in year 1.
I spent two years teaching year 1 and seven years teaching Reception. Early reading and writing is a specialism of mine, along with teaching phonics and spelling, working with children who have English as an additional language and children with special educational needs.
I like to make learning as fun and as practical as possible to ensure that children are engaged and enjoy what they are doing. Using practical resources to support Maths and Science, linking reading and writing to experiences that children can relate to and enjoy!

I completed a level 3 Diploma in supporting teaching and learning and secured a job as a Teaching Assistant over 11 years ago. I then went on to become a Higher Level Teaching Assistant and was responsible for covering whole class teaching. Whilst working in school full time, I completed an Early Years Degree at Warwick University. This enabled me to complete a PGCE with QTS at Coventry University and achieve my goal of becoming a qualified primary school teacher. I have worked across all year groups, currently teaching in year 5. I have a passion for supporting children and watching them engage with the process of learning, rather than focussing on one outcome. I pride myself on having high expectations for every child and helping them achieve new goals through enjoyment for learning.
