I am currently working as a pharmacist, qualified 4 years ago. I have also been tutoring maths to students sitting their SATs and GCSEs for the last 8 years. I have previously also tutored students sitting their 11plus exam.
With 10 years experience teaching and tutoring I am able to support students with their goals. Whether that is catching up after lockdown or improving their grade at GCSE or A Level. I am quick to spot where students need the support and know the new specifications for GCSE and A Level thoroughly.
I went school and my best subjects at high school was maths and I was extremely good at GCSE science. I now do a levels in a level biology, chemistry and psychology. I am a really good tutoring and I can get your student a good grade.
I have been privately tutoring Mathematics to students from the ages 10-18 (Secondary School through to A-Levels) over the past four years whilst completing my Master's degree in Mathematics. I take great pride in my work as a tutor, and always make it a priority to make my students feel comfortable that they can ask me any questions at any time during a lesson. Having been on both sides of the small classroom teaching dynamic, I can sympathise with how some students may feel a sense of unease when starting a new class with a new teacher, which can ultimately impact their classroom learning. During my lessons, I like to stress the importance that this is not simply another classroom lesson where I talk and the student should remain quiet, and instead encourage my students to ask me any and all questions they have about the subject. The more they can tell me about their concerns with Mathematics, the more information I have to work with when adapting the lesson to their needs. My preferred teaching style is to look through previous work that a student has completed, and create complete breakdowns to topics/exam question solutions to give the student a step-by-step method that they can use beyond the lesson. After each lesson, I send an email with a document attached that contains all of the information discussed during the lesson, so that they can use the teachings at their own leisure in the future. If I specialise my lessons to each student, then what would be the point of me not sharing the resources afterwards? My working times are quite flexible, as I work from home, so most days from 10:00 - 18:00 work well for me. This is not a strict time window, however, so please feel free to contact me with alternative times outside of these hours, and we can see if we can make it work. I completed my GCSEs in 2018 achieving A*s in Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology & History. I also achieved 3 As in my A-levels for Mathematics, Chemistry & Biology in 2020. Since then I have completed a Masters degree in Chemical Engineering.
Introduction about me:
In 2020, I graduated from the University of Liverpool with a 2:1 in BSc Geography. During my degree, I became extremely passionate about the subject of geography and therefore I have gone into the world of teaching to teach this amazing subject.

I recently graduated from the University of York studying my PGCE in geography teaching. Despite the disturbances throughout the last year, I have had an excellent experience teaching both in schools and online, working with a variety of abilities amongst children. I have taught geography to years 6-11 and have had experience observing A-Level geography teaching
