I have over 12 years of teaching experience in waldorf schools in Germany and Switzerland as well as a private teacher for students in USA, UK, Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Bulgaria.

Of the hundreds of students that I have tutored / coached over the past 15 years, almost all acquired the best possible grade and none has ever got a grade lower than a B, despite the spread in the aptitudes and circumstances of incoming students. I always take a student-centered approach to teaching by asking students to bring their notes and talk me through the topics they feel are most difficult. My aim as your tutor would be to identify your strengths and weaknesses and build upon these appropriately. I would incorporate past paper questions very early in the curriculum to assess how well a child can apply their knowledge to answering exam questions. This will ensure that by the time the exams are sat the student will be fully prepared.

My name is Surbhi J. and I currently work at an school in Hillingdon as a maths teacher and KS3 coordinator.
My experience in teaching helps me identify the learning gaps and I generally address them in the very beginning in order to support students in their learning journey.
