Registered tutor for biology, chemistry, physics, English language, and English literature at all levels up to A-Level, offering support with personal statements, essay/academic writing, and primary maths, SATS and all primary subjects. I am passionate about helping students achieve their full potential. I have over 10 years experience in education. I am currently a primary school teacher and a Literacy Leader. I am a full-time Primary Teacher with a mathematics specialism. When not in my classroom, I offer online lessons for all primary-aged children in subjects ranging from Maths, English and Science. I provide online tutoring with entails the use of a visualiser, visual manipulatives (maths) and online teacher resources to provide targeted support.
What would my first session look like? I often use the first session as a get to know you session along side a small 'quiz'. This is so there is mutual respect and tust between myself and the tutee as I beleive it is so crutial that children feel comfortable in asking questions about their learning without hesitation. This session also facilitates the next learning step for the subsequent lesson as gaps in understanding can be identified and targeted.
