I have worked in education for over 20 years, teaching in secondary, specialist and primary schools. I've been a SENCO on a mainstream secondary school. I offer face to face 1 to 1 tuition at finest feet in Shifnal and at Stafford Park 4 in Telford. I also offer educational assessments and screeners (NOT diagnostic).
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) with a specialization in Mathematics, I have been an integral part of the Maths Department in a Secondary school. Over the course of 15 years, I have successfully taught small groups of students, primarily focusing on GCSE level (Foundation) Mathematics. My expertise extends across all age groups, ranging from Year 7 to Year 11.
Throughout my teaching journey, I have also engaged in private tutoring for over 14 years, working closely with individual students. It brings me immense joy to witness my students achieve their academic goals under my guidance and support.
My experience as an HLTA and private tutor has allowed me to develop a deep understanding of the GCSE Mathematics curriculum and various effective teaching techniques. Additionally, to familiarize them with exam-style questions and the expectations of exam boards, I incorporate relevant exercises to enhance their confidence and performance in examinations.
I am adaptable in my teaching methods, offering both online lessons via Zoom and face-to-face sessions, depending on the tutee's preferences and convenience. This flexibility ensures that students can access my tutoring services in a manner that suits them best.
