I'm a tutor whose goal is to make your least favourite subject your strongest subject. Although you might still dislike it, rest assured, you will be good at it!
I specialise in maths, biology, chemistry, physics, and medical subjects, and I love breaking down tricky concepts into simple, understandable parts. Whether you're struggling with your coursework or want to boost your grades, I'm here to help.

Specialises in US, Korea/Vietnam, Norman England and Migration units at GCSE - former examiner - and Unit 2R Cold War at A level. As lead teacher of the NEA for many years, I can offer expert guidance in completing this section of the AQA A level History course too. In addition to being a Head of History and Politics for the past 20 years I have also been in charge of Careers and have helped prepare students with their university applications, both for universities in the UK and overseas. I have also been an examiner for AQA and IB. I have worked in the Independent sector in the UK and then at schools in Tanzania, Cairo and Armenia.
I love learning and want to instill my passion for education to others. I plan my lessons so that the learner is active and try and make them as creative as possible. My ultimate goal is for the learner to love the subjects and want to learn more about them outside of the 'class'.
I have been tutoring individual pupils from a variety of backgrounds and abilities for nearly a decade now. I have also been teaching GCSE, A-Level, and Year 9 history since 2013-14, and have an outstanding track record in terms of results. Approximately 90% of the students I have taught at GCSE level have achieved a 7-9 grade, and I have had pupils achieve places at Oxbridge to read History within the last two years. I have excellent technical knowledge of exam preparation and essay or source paper questions, and am especially familiar with content involving the crusades (1099-1204), Russia 1894-1924, International Relations 1919-1990, and Germany 1918-45. That being said, I am willing to work on content from any time period, and with pupils of any ability or age level. My particular strength lies in the passion that I have for my subject, and my primary aim is to inspire pupils with a love for the subject.
Outside of the classroom I have led or been involved with student trips to Berlin, Russia (Moscow and St. Petersburg), and the battlefields of France and Belgium.
