Working in secondary school almost 17 years (local school and overseas) granted me valuable opportunities to teach a variety of courses, including EAL English, Business Studies, Liberal Studies (Humanities), Economics, Geography and Integrated Business. Among the most satisfying experiences for me as a teacher has been instructing student to understand, analyze and practice their knowledge properly and successfully.
Through my teaching thus far, I have found the method of facilitating rather than dictating to be a highly beneficial style of teaching.

As a former A-Level student, and a young person myself, I recognise the importance of teaching and helping others on a level that all students can understand, thus having a greater impact on the academic achievement of any person. I have a passion for education growth which is supported by my work with the LetHerLearn scheme, which is why helping young people to achieve their best through academics is so important to me. Whilst academics is highly regarded, my passion and talent in Ballroom, Latin and Street dancing, achieving grades from highly commended to distinction, is also something I enjoy helping others learn.

We treat every student as an individual and we care passionately about helping them reach their full academic potential. We value the need for building a student’s confidence and helping them to engage successfully with the subject being tutored. We personalise our whole service to meet the academic needs of all our students and their families.

As stated earlier, I have been helping fellow students and friends improve their grades. I am fluent in English, good at academic and formal writing, referencing and debates ( I participated in a few while I was in highschool and did two as exams while I was in college at Nottingham Trent International College). I did well in those debates and this can be proved by my grades from NTIC (attached above). I can also help prepare a student for the IELTS test if they are required to do one before admission. I’m fluent in Swahili which I can also tutor in.

With over 2 years of teaching experience, I have helped numerous students achieve their academic goals and gain a deep understanding of various scientific disciplines. I am currently studying Pharmacy at the University of Birmingham, and my strong foundation in sciences enables me to provide students with a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of complex scientific concepts. My teaching approach is centred around fostering a positive and engaging learning environment. Also, I believe that every student has their unique learning style, and I can tailor each lesson to accommodate individual needs. My patient and empathetic nature encourages students to ask questions and explore the subject matter with confidence. I have achieved grades A*AA in my A-Levels (chemistry, biology and economics) as well as A*-A at GCSEs (including english and maths).
