I qualified as a teacher in 2004 and have extensive experience in a wide range of settings. I am qualified to teach Business, Economics and Law to A level, Computer Science and Geography to GCSE level. I hold a postgraduate certificate in education (PGCE), a Bachelors degree in Business with Geography, a Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science and, finally, a Master of Laws (LLM), at Distinction.
I have taught across a wide range of settings, both in the UK and overseas. This has included inner-city state schools in the UK, the independent school sector and British Schools Overseas. Most recently, I have worked as a School Improvement Consultant for overseas schools preparing for inspections - as well as teaching Business online to students in South East Asia.

Hi, I am currently on a PhD program at the university of Salford where I also work as an academic tutor helping with module delivery and conducting laboratory sessions. As the teaching year is drawing to a close, I have found myself with a lot of free time where I can help use my knowledge andexpertise to help coach you or your children to help get the best possible grade in their exams. I have around 2 years of teaching experience at the University of Salford and have been popular among the students for multiple reasons, key of which being my age and recent experience in Education means I'm familiar with the challenges that studnets are facing at each stage of their education and can help with general guidance outside of the main core course subject aswell. Outside of teaching, I am also a volunteer heling with the restoration and maintainance of old aircraft which are on public display in Liverpool.

My name is Rachael and I am a qualified primary teacher with 15 years’ experience. I have a passion for encouraging a love of learning. I believe that if a child enjoys what they are learning then they will be motivated to listen, participate and ultimately achieve. I have a wide variety of experience working with SEND children and I understand that not everyone learns in the same way. Teaching is about adapting your strategies to meet the needs of the individual. As a mum of two children with ASD I fully comprehend the stress and pressures that are put upon parents to engage their children in learning. Therefore, I strive to create an enjoyable learning environment for your child to achieve their full potential and motivate them to want to learn.
In addition to my work with SEND children I have a great deal of experience tutoring children in preparation for their exams, whether that is SATs or the 11+. I taught year 5 and 6 for many years and my subject knowledge is very up to date on exam questions and expectations, particularly in maths and science. Whether it is about building up confidence or honing in those exams techniques I would love to help.

I have been teaching geography for 3 years including small group and 1 to 1 tutoring sessions during this time. I am also a head of year with a wealth of pastoral experience.
I ensure to make the tutoring experience relevant and specific to the individual student, identifying gaps and areas of weakness and ensuring that these are the areas where confidence is built.

I personalise the tutoring experience. By analysing areas of weakness, I ensure that we work on imporioving standards in those areas. Once my hour session has finished, the work doesn't stop there - I will find extra materials and mark work for the student etc.
