I can teach Maths and Chemistry from KS2 to A level. I have been teaching since 1989. I have retired few years back from full time teaching.
After graduating with an honours degree in Mathematics, Zahra entered the hedge fund world where she studied for CIMA and CFA qualifications. During that time she also taught on a voluntary basis, before deciding to pursue teaching full time. I taught maths from GCSE to STEP at an academy in Essex from 2009 to 2017 and at another Essex academy from 2020 to 2024. In both academies I taught GCSE Mathematics A Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics and STEP. About half of my students have been recommended to me. Lesson structure varies but we will always have a recap of related topics that we may be building on the lesson, examples and explanation as needed and a focus on practice questions. If you are preparing for an exam we will also look at exam technique. I would usually recommend that we focus on one topic at a time and take time to really get the hang of it, rather than rush through lots of content that is difficult to retain.
