Science Clinic Private Tutors was founded in 2010. Our vision was to help struggling children understand the concepts of the major subjects which are sought after by many colleges & universities. Our tutoring was mainly in the main subjects (Maths, all 3 Sciences & English Language) to exam students only. Because of the huge demand of tutoring in all year groups, we now teach students across the board from Primary (KS1 & KS2) through to GCSE, A-level and University. We were luck to have had colleagues we share the same vision with join us. Now we can teach all subjects from Primary through to GCSE, College /A-levels and Science & Maths at University level. All our teachers / tutors are graduates and qualified teachers with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) who understand the National Curriculum. Some of them are examiners at GCSE and A-level, which means they know the exam techniques students need to answer the exam questions properly and get better grades. Within the team, we have professionals with very high qualifications ie Masters Degrees (MSc / MA) and PhDs in various subjects. We can, therefore, be confident to say we are professionals who are dedicated to what we do with proven records in the UK’s most entrance and national exams. We are a tutoring organisation that is defined by its professionalism. Our aim is to provide a personal service. This makes us very different from most tutoring companies that just offer a platform for tutors and students to meet. We speak to clients so that we can match them with the most appropriate tutor for their needs. When this happens, the results can be remarkable & confidence grows. We personally know all our tutors and all have had DBS checks and their qualifications checked before we take them on. We are also a member of The Tutors’ Association (TTA) which was formed in 2013 to provide standards to the tutoring industry.
I've tutored humanities in particular history to pupils of all ages for a number of years. I love history and helping people enjoy and succeed in their academic endeavours. I am also a native French speaker.
Every student has a unique way of learning, so I offer tailored teaching to help students excel.
You should expect engaging discussions, topic quizzes, regular exam practice and an overall confidence boost when approaching the subject.
I enjoy teaching Science, Maths and French. I am dedicated to my students and am motivated to help them achieve the grades that they are looking for. I learnt the new style of GCSE, so I understand the challenges that they bring and how to overcome them, which has helped my students to progress and achieve. I have a fun and enthusiastic teaching style which I`ve been told engages my students. I take pride in being able to help younger students as I remember being at that stage and I would have really liked someone who could answer my questions about further education.

Brought up in Belgium, French is my mother tongue and decided to pursue A-levels education and degrees in England. I’m available to help anyone with difficulties with French as a subject at school and/or conversational practice and learning
I currently teach French and Spanish from year 6 to 11 at an independent school, after training as a teacher in 2015. I have also been a private tutor to pre-GCSE, GCSE and A-level students for 3 years.
I am passionate about languages and have a keen interest in the theory of language aquisition.
In my one-to-one sessions, I taylor my method and materials to suit students' learning styles and personal objectives. So far, I have been taking on private tutees through word of mouth, but having had to deliver their sessions online due to Covid 19, I have explored how to use online resources to develop online tutoring sessions effectively.
This summer, I can offer small group online workshops to focus on particular skills or specific language structure issues. These would be best suited to students using laptops, rather than tablets, and would be using zoom, an application called www.*** and possibly collaboration sites such as Google drive and office 365.

As someone with experience in tutoring and a skill for illustrating and presenting complex ideas in accessible and easy formats, I can ensure that anybody can succeed at the subjects they have chosen to study, regardless of their original level. I personally had to self study a lot of material for IGCSEs and AS Levels, but still managed to not only acquire a full spread of top grades in both, but attain marks nearing 100% in multiple subjects. I believe the key to this is understanding a subject to its core, rather than just learning things at a surface level. Not only does this lead to better exam perfomance, but it also means that what is learnt will be retained for longer. The ability to deep dive into subjects is a highly valuable skill that I will ensure all my students perfect.

My different experiences (professional and personal) have given me a lot of ideas to create and develop lessons adapted to different learners, levels and in a friendly environment. For me, a teacher have to be willing to listen to his student. He have to be patient and his lessons have to be lively. A teacher is a professional with a lot of education and good manners and like to share his knowledge with pedagogy and interaction. I used to divide lessons into two parts : - First part : pronunciation, communication skills, French grammar - Second part : discussion about cultural course about France and the French society or based on articles, world's events. The student can use his knowledge in an unformal situation. This is of course not set and stone and I can manage lessons according to student's needs and expectations. Lessons can be organized in different way.
More availability from June 2025 but I have been tutoring for over 13 years and concentrate mainly on GCSE. I teach many adults from scratch or picking up where they left at school. I teach as I learned, not as a native speaker, but as a language lover who enjoyed languages at school and at university and aim to support my students by helping them with grammar and vocabulary so that they can make good progress.
When my own children were doing their GCSE's, helping them lead me to discover how much I loved teaching. All my lessons are very much tailor-made to suit the needs of each person and if teaching on-line I email notes after each lesson. I always go the extra mile for my students particularly in the run up to important exams and assessments.
