Hello and welcome to my tutoring profile. To give context, I was a Teaching Assistant for 15 years and worked across all areas of primary levels from Nursery up to year 6. I finished my career being the leading Teaching Assistant in neurodiverse children as I have a passion for all children to have the education they deserve. I am an extremely caring, empathetic person with a passion for children’s education.
I planned, delivered and evaluated focus groups on a daily basis, often with the purpose to encourage cooperative engagement with other pupils. In addition, I had key children, who I would track their journey, in order to ensure they were meeting the key markers set out in the curriculum.
I would liaise with parents/carers on a daily basis. I created exciting multi-sensory environments which inspired and aided classroom learning.
I’ve worked alongside a variety of teachers when working in years 4,5 & 6 which allowed me to familiarise myself with the KS2 curriculum. I have 5 years’ experience working in Year 6 giving me a wealth of understanding of preparation for SATS, with children across all abilities.
In addition, I ran the school choir and school eco group. With the choir they would perform in assemblies, nursing homes and the local community. The eco group tended an allotment alongside people in the community as well as projects of planting using recycled materials around the school.
I believe children’s education should be an all-rounded experience and we should invest in them wholly and wisely as they are our future generation.

I am an enthusiastic young teacher with passion for teaching and helping children across the district. I like to help children and learn about them as well. Since childhood i have always had deep passion for teaching children.
My expertise are in music. I endeavour for my career to progress towards the music sector. I am very keen to gain tutor those studying Composition (Gospel, RnB, Soul, Jazz, etc.), Song Writing, Keyboardist/Pianist/Bassist, Music Theory, GCSE & A Levels.

I am fluent in English, good at academic and formal writing, referencing and debates ( I participated in a few while I was in highschool and did two as exams while I was in college at Nottingham Trent International College). About my lessons:
To begin I like to dive into my students strengths and weakness in the subject area to gain a better idea of how to cater my lessons in a way that would best benefit my students time .I then personalise lessons around my students to hit specific target areas, looking at how to meet exam board objectives, going over how to structure answers to meet top band and then doing practice exam questions. I also implement active recall each week to continually reinforce my student memory and go back over past material .Practice exam questions and active recall have been proved to be one of the most effective ways to retain information and are key in achieving higher grades. And to end each session off I give a student a small, manageable task to complete before our next session to further consolidate their understanding.

I tutor because I want to teach students what they can achieve with the power of English and to share my love for the subject with them, as well as helping someone to achieve to their higher potential.
