Hello, my name is Melissa! I am a native English speaker living and working in Leicester, England. I am a certified TEFL teacher and I studied English Literature for 2 years at college (A grade). I have provided mentoring and tutoring in the English language part-time for many years. In the past, I worked as a face-to-face tutor, and I also have experience with young children in an educational setting. Since November 2020, I have been tutoring both adults and children (online) on a weekly basis with extremely positive results. I have also been volunteering as part of a community educational work for over seven years.

I am an experienced teacher, having taught Year 6 for two years and Year 2 for seven years. I have a thorough understanding of the National Curriculum at KS1 level and can therefore offer tutoring services to the KS1 age range (Year 1 and Year 2 pupils) for English, maths, phonics and spelling. I am fluent in English, good at academic and formal writing, referencing and debates ( I participated in a few while I was in highschool and did two as exams while I was in college at Nottingham Trent International College).
