About my lessons:
To begin I like to dive into my students strengths and weakness in the subject area to gain a better idea of how to cater my lessons in a way that would best benefit my students time .I then personalise lessons around my students to hit specific target areas, looking at how to meet exam board objectives, going over how to structure answers to meet top band and then doing practice exam questions. I also implement active recall each week to continually reinforce my student memory and go back over past material .Practice exam questions and active recall have been proved to be one of the most effective ways to retain information and are key in achieving higher grades. And to end each session off I give a student a small, manageable task to complete before our next session to further consolidate their understanding.

I tutor because I want to teach students what they can achieve with the power of English and to share my love for the subject with them, as well as helping someone to achieve to their higher potential.
I’m a qualified early years teacher. I’ve got 2 and a half years experience working in schools and nurseries with KS1, early years and SEN students. I have a passion for assisting children to reach their full potential.
I am an experienced teacher, having taught Year 6 for two years and Year 2 for seven years. As stated earlier, I have been helping fellow students and friends improve their grades. I am fluent in English, good at academic and formal writing, referencing and debates ( I participated in a few while I was in highschool and did two as exams while I was in college at Nottingham Trent International College). I did well in those debates and this can be proved by my grades from NTIC (attached above). I can also help prepare a student for the IELTS test if they are required to do one before admission. I’m fluent in Swahili which I can also tutor in.

I am a qualified Nottingham based primary teacher and SENCO who has children who are being home educated and am currently supporting children being home educated in Nottingham and all around the country.
I now am using my experience to support children who would like to make accelerated progress in the comfort of their own home and through attending weekly sessions.
Through My Own Tutor Online Programme, I offer a 24/7 Online Home Study Programme for only £10 a week which includes ALL subjects!! It Covers all key stages and subjects from year R/1 to 11 up to GCSE and follows the national curriculum. Again this can be supplemented by weekly support in our tuition centre.
Concentrating on Maths and English, between 5 and 20 tasks are set each week to plug gaps in learning and offer further challenge to those students who require it. To further support this students can access a freephone teacher helpline to take the pressure away from parents and carers.
As mentioned we follow the national curriculum, do not come with the costs of other tuition centres in around West Bridgford and also have the advantage of being available 24/7.

I originate from the United States of America, I have earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and, as of this application submission, have completed my coursework for a Master of Science in Chemistry Education degree.
