I am a fully qualified English Teacher with 12 years experience working in a secondary school. Although I do not have any experience tutoring I have work experience in nurseries and helping run a youth club and have a strong passion for teaching children of all ages.

My focus is always about celebrating children's creative ideas. Once they're feeling motivated and ready to write, then I gently guide their grammar and spellings.
How do you support dyslexia?
Although I'm not a specialist dyslexia tutor, I'd love to make my lessons as engaging and inclusive for your child as possible.
They might like to use a laptop or a tablet to type, or to record their ideas vocally, and that's great! I'll use a visual timetable to help them stay on track. Plus, I'll give them extra thinking time, reading time and writing time.
