My sessions are engaging, lively and purposeful. I aim to make students feel at ease; I am an experienced classroom teacher of both girls and boys and a parent of a 12 year old so know how to make learning as 'pain-free' as possible. I have experience with students of all abilities and can adapt my delivery and resources to suit your needs. An experienced GCSE Language examiner, I know exactly how to tackle each question for the English Lang and Lit examinations. I have successfully prepared A-Level students to sit (and achieve an interview in) the Oxbridge ELAT test and my A-Level Literature, Language and Literature students have all achieved their target grades or higher. I am currently working in a school therefore, my availability is only after school and weekends. I am very happy to negotiate a timetable, or paired tutoring sessions so students can work on their English with a friend. I'm very happy to speak on the phone for a quick chat where we can discuss your individual learning needs and so you can get a feel for the sort of teacher-tutor I am. I also offer a first 20 minute 'taster' lesson free. |
