Following completion of A-Levels in History, English Literature and Health and Social Care, I began my career in education through obtaining a degree in primary education, specialising in the arts and humanities. I have taught children ranging from 4-11 in addition to gaining experience in EAL, SEN and training in BR@P and Prevent. I have further experience as a nursery nurse and a childminders assistant focusing on preparing early years children for school. Throughout this time, I have developed a child-centred approach to teaching by observing the child and tailoring to their individual needs based on personality, learning style and level.

If you are looking for someone who is dedicated to helping every child succeed in whatever they aim to achieve then look no further. I am passionate about helping children learn and am highly qualified to teach children up to GCSE level. I have had experience teaching children with SEND needs also so would be able to prepare a bespoke set of sessions for any individual. I ask any pupil who is looking for tutoring to to complete a short baseline test to give an accurate current picture of where they are starting from. A meeting with parents to negotiate timescale and to establish end goals is essential. I am able to come to a home if this is where the pupil may feel most comfortable or I am currently preparing a fresh space for learning at my residence which is due to be completed mid February. For more information, please contact me. I look forward to hearing from you! Miss S..

I am a calm, friendly, polite and patient teacher with excellent attention to detail in grammar and spelling. My aim is to be the best help for my students to achieve their academic aims and career goals. However, the lessons I conduct are also fun and enjoyable. In all I do, I try to be dedicated and reliable. My communication skills are first-rate and I really enjoy working with different people every day. I've been a tutor for 33 years and have consequently gained a lot of experience in the art of teaching. To be a good tutor, I try to access the student's wavelength because he/she needs to have faith and confidence in me so that I can teach him/her to the very best of my ability.
In my English lessons. I concentrate on reading, composition, spelling, grammar and pronunciation.

Maths, English and Science were some of my favourite subjects in school, and since it hasn’t been very long since I’ve left my secondary education, I am well versed in those three subjects, science to a further level due to my degree.
I hope I can be of help to all students, as I have a very specific methodology of teaching, personalised for each student, and will be happy to have the student’s input too.
I have experience in teaching those younger than me in my school days, where I headed an afterschool session once a week for those who needed help with anything they were taught throughout the year. I also made sure they were prepared for exam season, making sure that they focused on exam papers, and learning and revising through making mistakes with those questions, rather than making notes.
I have helped students with improving their musical talents as well, as I have played the piano and learnt singing to a high level (Grade 8 Piano and Grade 7 singing), and this helped me learn better communication with students as well as their parents.
I have taught for 3 years now, Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and English. I have had students leave to go to University as well as students who just started their GCSE pathways. Some of my students have gone onto Oxbridge Maths and Physics, as I also support their interviews. My lessons are initially for GCSE students but I usually begin at year 9 all the way to year 12.

Are you looking for a tutor for your child's up and coming SATs? Or are you just looking for a confidence boost for your child? I am a very experienced tutor, with great results, for either of the above. I'm a qualified teacher and I am very enthusiastic, friendly and confident in what I do. I am willing to do whatever it takes to support your child. I have supported children from reception, right the way through to year 11. In recent years I have supported several children in achieving a pass in their end of KS2 tests. I always come prepared with a wealth of work to suit your child, including challenges, working alongside the new national curriculum. Throughout my sessions, I believe every child should be able to ask me any question in confidence, that they may not have the confidence to ask their teacher in front of their class mates. I always try my best to support in any way that I can. I am confident that I will be able to support your child in getting the best results possible. I am available to work hours to suit you and your child. I believe that a student should be comfortable whilst learning. This said, I am able to travel to you, or you could travel to me if you'd prefer. I offer great hourly rates and block booking discounts. If you have any queries or questions about anything at all, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

I have completed a three year BSc in Psychology. This included acquiring basic knowledge across several domains of psychology including personality psychology, cognitive psychology, biological psychology, health psychology and social psychology. Knowledge surrounding mental health wellbeing and mental health disorders was obtained starting off with the basics and proceeding to develop knowledge in therapeutic approaches, psychiatry and meeting the needs of clients. I took modules in research methodologies and completed lab reports which led on to my dissertation of a study on chronic fatigue syndrome/ME. My option modules included two clinical and two language based courses: eating disorders, psychology of intimacy, Level 2 European Spanish and Level 1 British Sign Language. Alongside my degree I was chosen for a Psychology internship within the department, completed my mental health first aid and volunteered as a bazaar mentor delivering a CBT based programme to students.
