All our tutors at Right Track Music have worked and played in the music industry for a number of years, allowing them to pass on their wide ranging experience to our pupils. All tutors undertake an Enhanced DBS Police check.
We are also able to offer graded exams in all of the instruments we teach. We use the Trinity, ABRSM, London College of Music graded exam syllabus, Rock School, and the Registry of Guitar Tutors. You can purchase all of the exam books at our music shop which is at the music school.
At the Yorkshire Music School we not only teach you how to play, but also provide a relaxed and spacious environment to develop your talents, help build confidence and connect with other like-minded musicians.
Our tutors are highly qualified music professionals. They have different teaching styles but all are delivered in a very friendly way, making it the perfect place to learn an instrument.
We offer group sessions and one-one sessions at the academy, as well as one-one sessions in your own home if you are disabled and unable to get to us.
The range and style of music is amazing – From Bach to Black Eyed Peas, from George Gershwin to Lady Ga Ga…
We offer affordable memberships for any age from 8 years upwards. We provide a variety of different music including keyboard, saxophone, drums, banjo, singing, music theory, guitar and many more. See our ‘membership’ page for more details.
We endeavour to keep our costs minimal allowing us to offer value-for-money membership, for those on low incomes, those disabled, young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, children excluded from full-time education and children who are unable to cope with busy classrooms. Our friendly calm environments make it perfect for learning in an informal way, allowing members to embrace all the advantages that the therapy of music can give.
For adults who may wish to return to music practice or indeed start from scratch to learn new and life enhancing skills, there are groups and individual lessons in a wide range of instruments at our centres in Paisley and Barrhead.
For young children, we offer a fun way to enjoy learning about music. Based on the Kodaly approach and using up to date teaching resources, we matches the age and preferences of the child to their practice.
