I am an experienced classroom teacher with over 20 years experience. I currently work in a small comprehensive school in Oxfordshire. I have been in this role for the past 6 years. Previous to this I worked in another comprehensive school in Oxfordshire where I was responsible for classroom teaching and as a pastoral leader as well.
I have experience in providing private tuition for students of KS3,4 and 5. I specialise in general science at KS3 and 4, Chemistry for KS4 triple science and A level chemistry. I have been tutoring in this way for over 7 years and I really enjoy it, particularly seeing an individual gain confidence in the subject and experience in passing exams. I am adaptable and can tailor lessons to an individual student's requirements.
I am also a GCSE examiner for AQA. My students have found my experience in this area useful when applying their knowledge to comprehending and learning how to answer exam questions.
I have graduated from the Univeristy of Portsmouth with a 1st class degree in BSc (Hons) Biochemistry. I am now on my gap year, and will resume my MSc Drug Discovery at the University of Bath in September 2022.
I started tutoring at a GCSE level four years ago, and after a year of this experience, moved on to A-Level Chemistry and Biology tutoring.
I have had seven tutees during the past four years, and I can provide references upon request.

I am a qualified Science teacher with experience of teaching Biology, Chemistry and Physics to GCSE & Biology to A-level. I graduated from the University of Birmingham with a Hons degree in Medical Biochemistry and then went on to complete a PhD in Biochemistry. I then completed a PGCE in 1997. I have taught in a variety of establishments including grammar and comprehensive schools and also in further education colleges. I am currently working as head of Science at an online learning provider where lessons are taught live online to students who are unable to attend school for various reasons.

I have just finished my second year of undergraduate studies in physical natural sciences at Cambridge, on course for a first-class degree and continuing with physics and maths next year.
