Experienced teacher for A level Chemistry in Cardiff. PhD in Chemistry and previous teacher of a Sixth form college in London. Certificate in teacher training .
I apply varieties of aspects in my lessons to develop learners’ skills based on their ability and progress. My teaching method follow review of previous topic and link with the current topic and often with real life examples. I emphasise on the non-linguistic representations such as graphs, models or images as visualisation helps in long-term memory compared to the text-heavy materials. I encourage the learners to use varieties of resources to seek information beyond the textbook. Moreover, I address the subject specific mathematics and English needs of learners. I conduct regular progress test and often with self assessment to motivate the students for self-actualisation. As a science teacher, I emphasise on the ‘Generating and Testing Hypotheses’. My Learners are often asked to carry out web search and write an essay on contemporary science topics which helps to grow confidence in academic writing for higher education.

As an academic science and maths tutor I have over 10 years teaching and tutoring experience. I currently teach science part time at a high school in Wales, which allows me to keep up-to-date with the ongoing changes with the National Curriculum. I teach biology, chemistry and physics to GCSE level and maths at key stage 2 and 3.
All tutoring is done online, I use Google Meets and Google Classroom to teach all my online students. Google Meets allows us to chat face to face via video link and also alows me to share my screen and whiteboard. Google Classroom alows me to set homework or assignments and provide my students with feedback and additional resources they would not ususally get with a regular tutoring session. Each student will have their own login for Google Classroom and resources will be tailored and personal to them.
Many of my students work on developing their knowledge and confidence at GCSE level or boosting their understanding of maths at key stage 2 and 3. I also teach exam preparation and intensive revision sessions during exam periods. In addition I currently have a number of students who are preparing for high school. I work with these students in developing their confidence and resiliance to ensure that their high school fears are allieviated.
Due to current pandemic I have reduced the cost of all tutoring sessions to £20.
Please take a look at my Facebook page or my website www.*** for reviews.

I achieved my BSc in Chemistry from Swansea University in July 2020, achieving a 2-1. I started my PhD the same month with a focus on the development of novel, small molecule broad spectrum antivirals using a combination of computational and synthetic techniques. I have recently completed my experiments for my PhD and am now finishing off writing my thesis.
During my time completing my PhD I have worked as a teaching assistant in undergraduate teaching labs that have allowed me to develop strong teaching abilities in what can be a high-stress environment. I have also had the oppotunity to help guide both undergraduate and Master's students through their personal research projects, meaning I am both used to and very comfortable working on a 1-to-1 basis.
