Hey there 👋 ! I'm Nikita S., and I'm not your typical tutor. I hold not one but two master's degrees in Microbiology and have a rock-solid foundation with my bachelor's degree, so trust me when I say I know my stuff when it comes to Biology, Microbiology, and Anatomy & Physiology.
But here's the thing – learning doesn't have to be boring! I'm all about making our lessons a blast. Picture this: you and me, diving into the fascinating world of cells, microbes, and the human body, all while sharing a good laugh or two. Learning with me isn't just about acing exams; it's about genuinely enjoying the journey.
I'm super flexible with how we can meet. Whether it's online, at your place, or even at a cozy cafe, I'm up for it. I want your learning experience to be as comfortable as possible.
So, if you're ready to dive into the world of Biology and Microbiology (with a side of laughter), hit me up! Let's make your learning experience not only educational but insanely fun. 📚🔬😄

A little bit more about me:
• Outstanding Academic Record: In my IB exams, I scored an impressive 44/45 with 7/7 in all my Higher Levels (Biology, Chemistry, Psychology), as well as Maths AA SL and French. This is equivalent to all A* results in the A-level curriculum.
• UCAT Excellence: I achieved a score of 2930/3600 in my medical school entrance exam, placing me in the top 6% globally in my year
• Medical School Success: I received interviews and offers from all 4 medical schools I applied to, including Newcastle, Sheffield, Birmingham, and Bristol, showcasing the quality of my personal statements and interview skills.
• DBS Certified: Ensuring a safe and trustworthy learning environment.
I started teaching back in year 10, when I opened a learning centre at my school to teach English to underprivileged children in my neighbourhood back home in India. I worked with these children for over 2 years, using my knowledge of effective learning methods as a student to help these children communicate fluently in English despite not being exposed to the language much before. It was here that I first learnt the importance of personalising teaching for each student—when every student comes with their own needs and preferences, there is nothing more important then finding a unique and flexible approach to teaching that is fit specifically for them.
For the past two years, since I have started university, I have also been helping students across the UK with 11+ exam preparation, as well as tutoring KS3 and GCSE mathematics. This period of teaching has strengthened my skills as a tutor and given me experience with teaching students of a variety of ages and backgrounds.

I believe the best way to approach a difficult topic is to encourage discussion, before working with exam-style questions, focusing on method and exam technique. At 21 years of age, it wasn't long ago that I was at GCSE student myself and so I remember how frustrating it could be when a topic just wasn't clicking. I'd love to be able to help you feel more confident in your knowledge and ability, and help you build a love for the topics you're learning!
After achieving 3 A*s at A-Level, I was going to study medicine at Cambridge University. However, after serious deliberation, I decided to pursue my passion in acting and performing arts, and so am currently studying a BA in Professional Acting at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.

I am a reliable, easy to get on with person. I currently work as a Science Teacher in a Wiltshire School so I have a good working knowledge of the curriculum and up to date teaching methods. I am a young teacher with a track record of great results from both tuition and in my own classroom teaching practice. I have plenty of enthusiasm and patience. I understand the demands of studying for exams, and I am also committed to finding new ways to teach things to young people, so that they have a deeper understanding of why things happen, not just that it is something they have to know for an exam.
