I started teaching back in year 10, when I opened a learning centre at my school to teach English to underprivileged children in my neighbourhood back home in India. I worked with these children for over 2 years, using my knowledge of effective learning methods as a student to help these children communicate fluently in English despite not being exposed to the language much before. It was here that I first learnt the importance of personalising teaching for each student—when every student comes with their own needs and preferences, there is nothing more important then finding a unique and flexible approach to teaching that is fit specifically for them.
For the past two years, since I have started university, I have also been helping students across the UK with 11+ exam preparation, as well as tutoring KS3 and GCSE mathematics.
