Science Clinic Private Tutors was founded in 2010. Our vision was to help struggling children understand the concepts of the major subjects which are sought after by many colleges & universities. Our tutoring was mainly in the main subjects (Maths, all 3 Sciences & English Language) to exam students only. Because of the huge demand of tutoring in all year groups, we now teach students across the board from Primary (KS1 & KS2) through to GCSE, A-level and University. We were luck to have had colleagues we share the same vision with join us. Now we can teach all subjects from Primary through to GCSE, College /A-levels and Science & Maths at University level. All our teachers / tutors are graduates and qualified teachers with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) who understand the National Curriculum. Some of them are examiners at GCSE and A-level, which means they know the exam techniques students need to answer the exam questions properly and get better grades. Within the team, we have professionals with very high qualifications ie Masters Degrees (MSc / MA) and PhDs in various subjects. We can, therefore, be confident to say we are professionals who are dedicated to what we do with proven records in the UK’s most entrance and national exams. We are a tutoring organisation that is defined by its professionalism. Our aim is to provide a personal service. This makes us very different from most tutoring companies that just offer a platform for tutors and students to meet. We speak to clients so that we can match them with the most appropriate tutor for their needs. When this happens, the results can be remarkable & confidence grows. We personally know all our tutors and all have had DBS checks and their qualifications checked before we take them on. We are also a member of The Tutors’ Association (TTA) which was formed in 2013 to provide standards to the tutoring industry.
I am the Head of Sixth Form at my school. Previously, I have served as Head of Biology. I am a specialist at A Level Biology for both Yr 12s and Yr 13s and I am a specialist for Triple or Combined higher for all science up to GCSE. I am very experienced at teaching KS3 & KS4 Science at all levels. I teach the AQA board, however I have many students I tutor who do the OCR, EDEXCEL, IGCSE, Cambridge Assessment and other boards too. I specialize in GCSE science, in which I achieved a 99, where I believe all students can achieve but must be taught the correct technique and application skills. Being one who finished there GCSEs not so long ago, I believe I have the essential tips and tricks that can help your child to excel catering to the new exam bores and requirements.
I believe I have structured lessons in a way which concisely hits exam requirements whilst also sharing exam technique tricks along the way that I have personally developed from my experience.
One thing I have learnt from mentoring students is the importance of communication whenever the student may need, even outside working hours, this is why I will have 24hour contact with my students to assist in any further questions outside tutoring hours. This may include homework help, questions by topic or feedback in general.

I am an enthusiastic fourth year dental student studying at Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry (QMUL). NHS Doctor with over 10 years of experience studying and completing exams and over 7 years teaching Maths, Biology and Chemistry for KS3, GCSE and A Level. My tuition approach is listed below.
Each lesson begins with a run-through of the topic and explanation of key concepts with opportunities for pupils to ask questions. Students are then provided with high yield exam questions and worksheets to complete. Questions are then marked together to highlight areas of strength and areas of improvement. An emphasis is always maintained on exam technique during each lesson. Assessments to determine student improvement are provided every 4-6 weeks.
All students are taught how to study effectively using two evidence-based study techniques:
1) Active Recall - Here students create useful revision questions to test their memory of certain topics
2) Spaced Repetition - Here students are taught how to strategically review topics regularly and boost their chances of remembering important exam content throughout the year and leading up to exams.
My classes are always tailored with a personalised programme for each and every student and remain friendly and engaging. All resources including specialised notes for each exam board, revision questions and exam question related to the tutees exam board are provided free of charge. Tuition goes beyond the `hour slot` as students are able to contact me via phone, email and tutor hunt messaging. I also remain engaged with the lesson and do not `clock-watch`.
