Science Clinic Private Tutors was founded in 2010. Our vision was to help struggling children understand the concepts of the major subjects which are sought after by many colleges & universities. Our tutoring was mainly in the main subjects (Maths, all 3 Sciences & English Language) to exam students only. Because of the huge demand of tutoring in all year groups, we now teach students across the board from Primary (KS1 & KS2) through to GCSE, A-level and University. We were luck to have had colleagues we share the same vision with join us. Now we can teach all subjects from Primary through to GCSE, College /A-levels and Science & Maths at University level. All our teachers / tutors are graduates and qualified teachers with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) who understand the National Curriculum. Some of them are examiners at GCSE and A-level, which means they know the exam techniques students need to answer the exam questions properly and get better grades. Within the team, we have professionals with very high qualifications ie Masters Degrees (MSc / MA) and PhDs in various subjects. We can, therefore, be confident to say we are professionals who are dedicated to what we do with proven records in the UK’s most entrance and national exams. We are a tutoring organisation that is defined by its professionalism. Our aim is to provide a personal service. This makes us very different from most tutoring companies that just offer a platform for tutors and students to meet. We speak to clients so that we can match them with the most appropriate tutor for their needs. When this happens, the results can be remarkable & confidence grows. We personally know all our tutors and all have had DBS checks and their qualifications checked before we take them on. We are also a member of The Tutors’ Association (TTA) which was formed in 2013 to provide standards to the tutoring industry.

Hi, I’m Connor!
I’ve been tutoring GCSE and A-Level Maths and Physics for over four years, with more than 1,000 hours of online tutoring experience. Having achieved top grades in my own A-Levels just five years ago and recently graduating top of my cohort with First-Class Honours in Physics from the University of Nottingham, I know the subject content inside out and what it takes to excel in exams.
What makes my lessons stand out?
• By the end of every lesson, my students can confidently tackle a new type of exam question. My approach focuses on what’s essential for exam success.
• Lessons are highly interactive and example-driven, with plenty of opportunities for students to practice exam questions and apply their knowledge.
• I use handwritten notes to guide students through key concepts and exam techniques, ensuring a personal and tailored approach—not just another PowerPoint!
My tutoring doesn’t just focus on the lesson. It’s about how to approach studying as effectively as possible and achieve the highest grades or pass your exams. I will share all of my resources and exam tips.
Last year I had a 100% pass rate and helped students achieve university places. Notably, 70% of my higher maths group achieved a grade 8-9.
First lesson is always a free trial lesson :)
Feel free to message me with any questions.

I have taught physics for almost twenty years at two top-rated schools, Tiffin Boys’ in Kingston and The Judd School in Tonbridge, where I was Head of Physics, and where I gained a Physics Teacher Award from the Institute of Physics.
I have a BSc Honours degree in Applied Physics, a Diploma in Industrial Studies, Qualified Teacher Status, Chartered London Teacher Status and am a Fellow of the College of Teachers. I have a DBS certificate from my role at Judd School.
The lessons I provide are carefully tailored to meet the objectives of the student – these maybe quite wide-ranging or focus on specific discrete topics. I can assess ability, areas of subject knowledge weakness, how each student best learns and how to build confidence and understanding. My lessons will include theory and explanation, contextual reference, worked examples and help with specific questions. Any notes produced by me during the lesson will be left with the student. The duration will be one hour, and if part of a series of lessons, will begin with a recap and appraisal of the previous lesson.
I can cover all aspects of GCSE and A-level Physics (including guidance for the A-level practical qualification) for AQA, EdExcel, IB and most other boards.
I would be just as delighted to raise a student from a level 3 grade to a 4, as I would an 8 to a 9; I am happy to assist at all abilities.
I am also qualified and experienced in providing teacher training for the Physics elements of KS3 and KS4 science teaching and can support and refresh Biology and Chemistry teachers with any areas of Physics they are not fully confident with (and help answers some of those tricky questions from students!).

I am an enthusiastic fourth year dental student studying at Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry (QMUL). I am a hard working individual and received three A*s in A-level biology, chemistry and economics. Being a student myself allows e to understand my students and relate to them allowing them to feel more comfortable during lessons. I have a lot of experience working with children as I have previously done some part-time work in a primary school and along with that I have been tutoring science from key stage 1 to 4 for the past four years, helping these children achieve their desired grades.
I have gained extensive experience tutoring different exam boards throughout the past few years and have helped multiple students achieve their desired grades with many exceeding their target grades. I am a very friendly tutor and have great communication skills which help me to provide a safe and comfortable environment for my students allowing them to achieve to their highest potential. I love getting to know my students and their learning preferences so that I can plan my lessons in a way that will benefit and maximise their learning. I will always be willing to adapt all of my lessons to ensure each student can achieve their maximum potential.

NHS Doctor with over 10 years of experience studying and completing exams and over 7 years teaching Maths, Biology and Chemistry for KS3, GCSE and A Level. My tuition approach is listed below.
Each lesson begins with a run-through of the topic and explanation of key concepts with opportunities for pupils to ask questions. Students are then provided with high yield exam questions and worksheets to complete. Questions are then marked together to highlight areas of strength and areas of improvement. An emphasis is always maintained on exam technique during each lesson. Assessments to determine student improvement are provided every 4-6 weeks.
All students are taught how to study effectively using two evidence-based study techniques:
1) Active Recall - Here students create useful revision questions to test their memory of certain topics
2) Spaced Repetition - Here students are taught how to strategically review topics regularly and boost their chances of remembering important exam content throughout the year and leading up to exams.
My classes are always tailored with a personalised programme for each and every student and remain friendly and engaging. All resources including specialised notes for each exam board, revision questions and exam question related to the tutees exam board are provided free of charge. Tuition goes beyond the `hour slot` as students are able to contact me via phone, email and tutor hunt messaging. I also remain engaged with the lesson and do not `clock-watch`.
For 2023, I now have a team of dedicated tutors offering tailored approaches to tuition. Please get in touch if you have any questions or preference for female tutors as this can be organised too.
Thank you for all enquiries currently, we are organising classes as soon as possible.
Spring an Summer Booster Courses will be available upon request.

I've been a teacher and tutor for over 30 years and feel I'm just about getting the hang of it. In addition to teaching content, I focus particularly on getting my students to think more deeply about how and why they study, helping them learn better how to learn, That really is the fun of teaching. Essentially, I try to provide the kind of education and support I would want for my own children. Not that I actually do provide that for my own children, of course; I’ll be looking for some other sucker to tutor those little monkeys. I work in the North Kent area (principally in and around Gravesend and Medway) and specialise in maths and physics, but also run sessions on essay writing (which concentrate on improving grammar, punctuation and structure). Most of my students are studying A-level or IB, but I also run GCSE and 11+ sessions. Although offering individual tuition from time to time, I mainly run small groups, classes and crammers, which provide a better education at far lower cost.
In addition to offering personal tuition, I also produce free video tutorials for those unable to afford help (or for whom a trip to the bucolic paradise of North Kent is sufficiently unfeasible or unpalatable). The library is currently small but will doubtless grow with my children (who are the reason I currently have so little time to make more – either videos and children). In terms of qualifications, I hung around Cambridge till they gave me a couple of degrees to go away, then repeated the trick at Oxford a few years later. I've therefore acquired a bachelors in physics, masters in history/philosophy and theology, and a doctorate in theology. Which displays either commendably diverse interests or an inability to stick at anything. My wife suggests the latter.

As a Medical student at the Univeristy of Leeds, I am looking for some GCSE students that I can support along with my studies.
I am committed to my role as a tutor and am excited to help my students improve in their understanding of science as well as building their confidence.
I achieved a Grade 8 in all three sciences (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) for GCSEs, and a Grade A* in Biology and Grade A in Chemistry for A-levels. I have a deep understanding of the courses as well as an improved knowledge of the mark schemes, which is essential for good exam technique.
I generally tutor online via platforms Zoom or Google Meet, as this allows me to reach a larger variety of students from different locations.

I am a year 13 student who is predicted 4 A*s in alevels for Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Computer Science. I aim to study Engineering at Oxford next year. I got all 8s and 9s in GCSE. I plan to teach maths, physics and Furthermaths for GCSE and I have received a 9 for Maths and physics in GCSE. You may wonder why you should pick me over a tutor who is graduated, well I did GCSEs very recently and I understand the subjects and its specification very well for this reason my teaching will be tailored specifically to GCSEs and I will not be going off tangents whilst teaching, it will be the perfect amount for the student to get the desired grades unless they will to learn more. The tuition fee is negotiable.

I am an experienced Physics tutor with over 14 years of teaching students from Year 7 to A-Level. I hold a First-Class degree in Physics and have served as Head of GCSE Physics at a leading London Day school, where I developed the department’s curriculum and supported students to reach their full potential.
As an external examiner for both Edexcel and AQA, I have a deep understanding of the exam board requirements and marking schemes, which helps me guide students effectively through their courses. My approach is tailored to individual needs, focusing on reinforcing weaker areas, ensuring thorough coverage of the curriculum, and building confidence in tackling challenging concepts.
During the pandemic, I honed my online teaching skills, using platforms like Teams and OneNote to share resources and engage students in virtual lessons. Now a full-time tutor, I offer flexible availability during the day and after school to fit around your schedule. My goal is to help students achieve top grades and unlock their full potential in Physics.

John obtained a First Class Honours degree in Physics and Philosophy from Durham, before a PhD in Physics and Applied Mathematics at Leeds. He now works as a research scientist in London, following similar experience in Washington, DC.
With wide experience in communicating and teaching, John has established a personable and adaptable approach. He is able to explain concepts from a number of angles, and enjoys helping students find their individual way in to a subject. His goal is to give students the confidence that they really ‘get’ the topic at hand, not just to reinforce rote learning. This approach has been successful both in general revision, helping to solidify ideas, and in targeted exam preparation, helping to unlock specific barriers to understanding.

My name is Seun Michael www.*** Teaching has always been a passion. Because of my love for teaching and the opportunities it gives to make meaningful impact the lives of people, I have always strived to equip myself in order to competently face the challenges of being an educator. Education is the bedrock of any society. I believe teaching is the worthiest cause in the aspiration of making our societies and the world a better place.
I began teaching after my National Diploma from The Polytechnic Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria where I studied Electrical/electronic engineering. I spent two years teaching and by the end of this experience, I knew I wants to be a teacher. The usual challenges attributed to teaching such as lack of institutional support and the rising indifference toward education by students only excited me to seek solutions. I was sure this solution would only make me a better equipped teacher. My resourcefulness was brought to the fore as I often had to rely on ingenuity to provide teaching aids where none was available. I also learnt that the traditional linear method of teaching which rendered students’ passive recipients of knowledge relying solely on the teacher was not enough to sustain the students’ interest. I therefore made my classes fun, engaging and participatory. I found that students are often active and willing collaborators when given responsibilities and if they can relate well with the subject matter. They also gained confidence and were less likely to be unruly.
The curriculum is designed to guide teaching and learning outcomes. A teacher must have impeccable mastery of the curriculum content in order to properly instruct the students. The latter, too having no doubts in the teacher’s abilities would willingly lend their support. In light of this, I enrolled at the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta, Nigeria to study Physics. After obtaining a Bachelor of Science Degree in 2017, I went ahead to acquire a Post Graduate Diploma in Education from the National Teachers Institute, Ibadan Centre and then teacher certification from the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN). From the knowledge and experience gathered over the years, I consider myself competent in teaching physics and mathematics which I have done for about fifteen years now. Many of the students which I have taught are now graduates while some are doing well in various Nigeria Universities.
As an enthusiastic, self-motivated dependable and diligent person I believe in developing myself as an example of what I want my students to be in character and learning. I have always taken advantage of available opportunities in order to acquire the excellence which I desire in my students. Coming from a background of the use of the traditional chalk-board, I have endeavored to develop myself by getting computer skills via online tutoring. This enables me to teach with modern teaching aids such as YouTube, flash drive, wireless mouse, projector and so on.
Most often I am called upon to help instruct other teachers in order for them to cope with modern technological aids.
I am a mature team worker with good interpersonal skills able to work well in a group as well as use my own initiative. In the various schools where I have taught, I often help in organizing co-curricular activities for helping students develop problem solving, numeracy as well as critical reasoning skills. I believe that knowledge of the academics must translate to real life applications. Apart from regular examinations, I encourage and help to organize quizzes and games which encourage reasoning and team building skills. Working together with other members of staff, we explore online resources adapting existing ideas and creating activities to meet the needs of our students. I particularly enjoy these moments as they enhance students-teacher relationships as well as afford informal evaluation of the academic work. This is most vital in an effort to make students realize that the educational process is not merely aimed at cerebral development leading to mere acquisition of academic certificates but the development of abilities and awareness for the betterment of the society.
A teacher role is multi-faceted. As a role-model, counselor and ad hoc parent to mention a few, his or her role includes guiding and protecting his or her wards. Societal ills, emotional, physical as well as economic challenges constantly tend to limit students’ response to the teachers efforts as an educator. I endeavor within the general context of the classroom and occasional opportunities one-on-one discourse to motivate and direct the students to make positive decisions. I understand that it is not mine to impose on students or to judge them. My role is to guide them along accepted norms and ethics.
I am flexible and can adapt to most changing situations. I know that each work place is dynamic possessing its own challenges and opportunities as well as limitations. I therefore quickly learn to cope and work within laid down rules and regulations.
Although I have little experience in teaching students with special needs or disabilities, I have the opinion, based on personal experience, that special needs students are not lacking in abilities only requiring specialized skills in teaching them. Skills which can be acquired given the right opportunities and motivation.
I am interested in the field of information technology especially in the field of data science. I intend to explore the possibilities of analyzing and interpretation of data for educational advancement and development in high schools across the world.
I am particularly excited at the prospect of working as a tutor on this platform because it will give me the opportunity of gaining global experience while adding value to the students.
