Prior to teaching I have worked in life science Reasearch and Development and in Biopharamceutical research, sales and marketing. I also worked a part-time voluntary teaching assistant in primary and seconday schools for 2 years. In 2014 I decided to change career completely to become a science teacher, so I trained at Kings College, graduating with my PGCE in 2015.
My background prior to teaching brings additional experience and skills to my teaching. Chemistry is my specialist subject. I have taught and tutored all sciences successfully to years 7 to 11, and have taught and tutored Chemistry and Biology at A level.

Hi! My name is Huda H. and I am from Crawley, West Sussex. I graduated from the University of Northumbria. I did a bachelors degree on Bio Medical Science. I am currently a Maths and Science Tutor. My usual lessons begin with a recap from the previous lesson for 10mins with some exam style questions which will be very similar to the previous lessons. This is to make sure the tutee understood and retained what we learnt in the previous lesson. I have found this to be the most efficient for my current tutees. I will also give exam style questions as homework. As someone who was a student I feel this is the most effective way for them to get practice early on so when it comes to the actual exams they should be familiar.
First consultation is free so we can discuss what the tutee would like out of our lessons and where they feel like they need to improve. Their target grades and ways we could get them headed to the right direction. I will then tailor our online lessons for the tutee. The online platform will be on Microsoft teams.
