I am currently studying a mechanical engineering degree. I am eager to help students excel and gain confidence in their mathematical abilities. During my studies I have previous experiences in tutoring, working with young children, which have allowed me to gain a key understanding in making them feel comfortable in a teaching environment. I was previously Tutoring at Mathnasium for 2 years, which has given me the training, understanding and qualification to work with children from 3-16. My teaching style mainly includes explanation with Socratic questioning and engaging in different methods to adapt to students understanding. During the sessions, the study plan will consist of half the time teaching and working on questions on the taught topics, and the second half will be worked on any homework or work the student needs help on. I am updated on the current curriculums, and have assisted students in preparations in their exams, working on exam papers and exam style questions. Additional to my love of engineering, I enjoy exploring different philosophical, ethical and theological concepts, in which I incorporate in a blog form. |
