I have been a Science and Biology teacher for 28 years, including 5 years as a Head of Science, 5 years as an Assistant Principal, 4 years as a Vice Principal and 6 years as the Principal of a large secondary school. My teaching experience has been across 4 counties and I was a lead practitioner coordinator for the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust (SSAT), leading a team of the best Science teachers across the country to support Science departments to improve their teaching. Another role that I had for the SSAT was as a school senior leader advisor for science, in which I visited many schools across the country to advise their senior leaders on how best to improve the achievements of their students in Science. I am currently working as an education consultant and school improvement partner alongside my tutoring work. |
