The North West Area Inclusion Partnership (NW AIP) has the remit to improve behaviour and reduce exclusions; to facilitate swift referral to support services and ensure that schools are supported with those children who present challenging behaviour or require additional support. The North West AIP champions the outcomes of challenging and vulnerable children and their families. It supports schools and helps them to provide quality education for all with the aim of reducing exclusions by creating viable alternatives. The North West AIP supports the delivery of Children's Services at both a wedge and cluster level. We share the moral purpose and contribute to the vision for Leeds as a child Friendly City. The North West AIP is a commissioner and developer of services; it co-ordinates, shares and mobilises the immense talents that exist within our schools and links them to the other local support agencies, for the benefit of our children in North West Leeds. The North West AIP has funded the provision of nurture bases in several North West primary schools ensuring that all staff involved in these settings are given appropriate training to provide successful outcomes for some of our most vulnerable children. Through working in partnership and sharing resources we aim to improve coordination and enhance delivery to enable us to meet the needs of our children. |
