Additional information and experience - Sally W.
In my teaching I aim to adapt to the needs of each pupil. As I get to know them I can find out about their learning style and what motivates them. I can then tailor my teaching and teaching resources accordingly. I am always encouraging and try and make learning fun with a variety of activities in each lesson. I aim to involve imagination and creativity. This removes the notion of music being correct or incorrect and engages the whole of the pupil in a musical experience. I regularly play saxophone in a swing band called A Stroke of Genius which raises money for the Stroke Association. I also play flute in a flute quintet and bass guitar in a pop covers band. I love all types of music and love playing with others. |
