Roehampton | London | Teaching Music | Master |
My teaching is based on playing to actual music, not boring, repetitive exercises. We might work on Trinity Rock and Pop graded tunes and learning those charts, or your own favourite music that you've always wanted to learn and jam to. Obviously specific drum and snare related exercises have their uses, but only to get you playing what you want to play. Whatever your style, I get you results. Those results though, take a bit of effort from you too, and that's cool, isn't it? I'll make sure that you know what you need to be practising to move forward, and you just need to do that. Deal?! I teach at my studio (online and in-person) and peripatetically in schools and colleges. I am the Lead Music Mentor for Essex Music Service (EMS), running and facilitating projects for children with learning disabilities. I spent some time at Barnet and Southgate College as their Music Lecturer specialising in teaching their SEN and those with Autism, PMLD and LD. I'm also the Musical Inclusion Specialist for MusicNet East. Most of all, I'm a professional drummer and experienced teacher, offering friendly and bespoke tuition from my studio in Rainham, Essex (or online via FaceTime/Skype/Zoom). I teach semi-professionals to absolute beginners, but am also trained in teaching children and young people. |
