Welcome! My name is Jayne and I have been teaching for over 30 years, mostly in higher education, but also at FE and secondary levels -I therefore have covered most if not all problems that students might face and helped them find their way out of the maze of the wonderful subject that is English - he's, help is at hand! An initial assessment lesson will allow me to discuss your needs and concerns and formulate a plan that is best for you. I will be able to give you an idea of the number of sessions it should require to reach your desired goal . This could be anything from a single session for those just needing assistance with a one off project/essay to a course of tutorials for exams. I recommend no more than 1/2 sessions per week as many of you will have other study commitments and it's important not to stretch yourself. However- I will always give you a task or prep to do before the next session which will extend or complement your knowledge. I encourage questions -so I am very happy for you to ask if something isn't clear or isn't working for you. My preferred teaching method is online , including teaching files/marking. This is predominantly because I live in the back of beyond! Plus, most of my students like the convenience of attending from home . If you have any queries, please do get in touch. |
