Spanish Tutor - Ranked 1st for Spanish at St Andrews
My name is Harry McKenzie and I have been teaching Spanish, English and Maths to more than 10 high school students over the last 5 years. I specialise at improving exam results and working on speaking skills.
I'm studying Arabic and Spanish at the number 1 university for modern languages in the UK, St Andrews (2024), with a www.*** GPA/first class degree. I ranked first in my year for Spanish exams. I have achieved A*s (top band of marks) for all exams I have ever taken (GCSEs and A-Levels) thanks to my precise and results-oriented studying techniques. I have lived for over 1 year in Spanish speaking countries (Argentina, Uruguay and Chile) and have a strong command of idioms and cultural knowledge.
I hope to use these skills to improve my students' command of Spanish, be it to achieve better results or improve their conversation skills. My style of teaching is fun and tailored to students' interests and styles of learning. I offer a free trial lesson so students can see whether I am the right fit for them.
After the trial lesson my rate is £25/hour // $33/hr. Lessons take place virtually on Teams / Google meet.
Though primarily a Spanish tutor, I also have experience teaching Maths (A* at GCSE) and English (A*s at GCSE and A-Level). I have a strong command of exam technique and understanding of creative processes as a published poet.
