I am an experienced teacher of history with over ten years of experience teaching in a range of secondary schools across the UK including grammar, independent and state schools. I am experienced in teaching pupils from Year 7 to year 13, and have prepared hundreds of students for examinations and coursework at GCSE level, A level and International Baccalaureate. I have a strong track record of securing excellent outcomes for my pupils, many of which have gone on to study history and related subjects at a range of elite universities including Oxbridge and Ivy League colleges. I have worked with most UK examination boards and complete regular training, including a teaching leadership course with the Ambition Insitute, to ensure my knowledge of both pedagogy and current examination criteria is up to date. My experience has given me knowledge of a wide range of pupils' learning requirements and I am able to adapt my teaching to suit the particular requirements of each pupil, whether it be essay technique, tuition on a particular period of history, Oxbridge admissions coaching or effective techniques to revise effectively for examinations. I can tutor face to face or online, depending on your requirements.
